Here is How to Join Two Together for Lots of Cables! These are very well made conduits/cord protectors! I had very specific requirements for 5 cables, none of which could share tunnels. This meant I needed two of the cord protectors. However, I was very concerned about them curling or not remaining straight. Also, I did not want to have to adjust them with my hand or even with my toe, ever. True, the double-sided tape can hold these things down and keep them straight, but what if I needed to make changes to the cables... then what? Well, the solution was to join two together with a hinge. So, I bought two 30" Stanley hinges, got some Goop, and some heavy objects... Voila! Problem solved!! These are excellent conduits to work with and I would definitely buy them again.5Love it!Works great for me hiding the cable line. Very easy to use, the tape is, like cement in a good way. Still stuck to the tiles. Yes I will buy this again!5Don't know what's with the bad reviews..this prod works just fine !Needed to hide long black power cables for my new leather recliner. I ordered 8 feet on the "brown" and it kinda matches my sofa/hardwood floor. It came with the double-sided sticy tape and actually in 9 feet (1 feet extra). Upon getting it, I uncoiled it and left it outside in the warm sun for 3 hours. By then, it was subtle and flat. I used contractor grade snippers to size it (needed 6 feet on one end and 2 feet on the other end). Took me about 30mins to put it together and stick to the floor.Note the center divider opens up from the bottom. Did a perfect job oat hiding my cable and it looks pretty professional.5No better inexpensive solution to tidy up floor cables in the home officeHaving looked for something rigid to safely run cables from wall to desk, this UT molded wire product is nearly a perfect (end inexpensive) solution. Here are a few observations about this product:The good stuff:- Separate channels permit a neat mix of different cable types - I ran power down the center, and ethernet and USB for printer in the outside- Double-back tape adheres to flooring- Fairly pliable and seems durable- Long enough to stretch from center of room desk to wall in good sized home officeMinor complaint stuff:- Center channel must be cut with a sharp knife to separate down the middle of the bottom- The double-back tape isn't holding too strongly in a few spotsOverall, very good product that does what you need it to. I am glad I found this one.4Great value and easy to install!Works great! Easy to cut. At first, I didn't realize that the center opened up from the bottom. It makes sense now. The side channels will comfortably hold a smaller cable such a a phone cord or network cable. The center channel was able to take a pretty heavy power cord from a personal UPS. It can be cut with scissors and installs quickly. I personally wouldn't put it in a commercial environment but for home and office use, it looks nice and in my case, keeps people from tripping over loose cables!5Very happyThis comes rolled up so lay it flat with heavy books on it for a while to straighten it out.It cuts easily to modify the size.Much nicer looking than all of my "computer/electronic" cords laying on the floor.I have 2 electrical cords and 2 smaller computer accessory cords all in the middle compartment. The bottom seam is closed tightly and it feels as though you are separating connected pieces of plastic for the first time. Which is fine by me. Closes up nicely and tightly once you have the cords in. I had to open, stuff and let it close as I moved the cords down the line. (Hope that makes sense.) The seam does not open up the full length all at the same time like a hindge, which is perfect since I don't want to see a gap or have it break if I need to add or subtract cords. The smaller, two outside, slots open from the top and again close back up without gaping. It is soft enough to be pliable yet strong enough to stay put and not gap.5Not for thick cablesThe side channels are large enough for an ethernet cable but not for heavy gauge speaker cables. The protector is made of a soft foam, probably best used under carpet so it doesn't get damaged by vacuum cleaner, high heels, etc. Easily cut and I can see how it would be the perfect solution for someone with thinner cables.4Very acceptable, glad I got itThe color is a bit intense but it looks better than the masking tape I was using to hold the cord flat to the floor. The curl factor: you'll need some patience. At first I stretched it out and set various objects on it to hold it flat. Left it a few days, but it still had too much curve to it. Then I left it out on a balcony railing (flattened), where it could get some sun for a couple of days. That did the trick. It was super easy to put the cable cord in the bottom section. At first it looks like there's no opening to the slot for the center, but once you get it split open at the bottom it's easy enough to separate it down the length.I've been using it 2-3 weeks at this point and am glad I got it. It's staying flat and isn't a trip hazard.4Now this is more like it!I recently posted a review of a wretchedly substandard cord protector material. That stuff was so bad that I tried again. This material is worlds better.First, it lies flat. I didn't have to warm it up with a heat gun to make it lie just sorta flat. Next , some smart person decided that not only the center channel, but also the two outside ones, can hold a cable. The outside ones are readily accessible. If you need the center one, you'll need to spend a moment with a single-edged razor blade or something similar to open it up. The material is molded so that only a very thin bit of material needs to be severed in order to reveal the center channel.I needed five feet of of material, and all three channels. It took perhaps 30 seconds to open up the center channel, then two or three minutes to route my cables (a large HDMI cable, a heavily clad TOSLink cable, and a two-wire AC cord. into the piece. The result lies perfectly flat, and the color is a reasonably good match to my pseudo-oak laminate flooring. I'm withholding the fifth star only because I suspect that I'm compressing all three cables when I step on the material. If all's well in a month or two, maybe I'll be back.4Good sturdy stuff - installation not for weak wrists!I have a couple of pieces of Cat 5 running to another part of the house and I've never liked that I covered the cables with throw rugs where they run across doorways. So I saw this stuff and took a chance and I'm glad I did. It is very sturdy and it will not present a trip hazard like my old throw rugs. It's pretty easy to install, but you do have to wrestle with it a little. It does cut easily enough with household scissors - measure twice and cut once! But working the channels open and pushing the cables in requires some oomph on your part. It's not real obvious how to get your cables into the middle channel; you will have to turn your cut piece upside down with the bottom, flat surface facing you. Then put your oomph into it and bend the whole thing in half lengthwise bending away from you - it will pop right open. This is easier if you kneel on the floor and support the Protector with your legs while you bend it. Peeling the backing off the included double sided tape (used to hold the Protector to the floor or carpet) is a bit of a challenge. I used my x-acto knife to make it easier. But stick the tape to the underside of the protector before you peel the backing, or you will have a mess of tangled tape on your hands. One plus: it comes coiled up in a box and I thought that it would be a problem getting it lie flat after uncoiling it. Not so! After you cut it, it will lay nice and flat with virtually no effort on your part. The two side channels will probably each hold only one length of cable not much larger than a piece of Cat 5. The larger middle channel will hold probably 3 pieces of said Cat 5 or a fairly heavy duty outlet strip cord. This is a good sturdy, commercial grade product which is pretty easy to install. Now get rid of those dangerous throw rugs!5
