    Excellent product to upgrade 4GB into 16GB!Delivery was quick. Followed simple steps given on the installation guide book and upgraded myself 4GB RAM into 16 GB - easy peasy!. Now my MBP13 late 2011 runs like brand new. Thank you so much. Of note, though Apple recommends to upgrade up to 8GB but 16GB is taken without any problems. Highly recommend to others and feel the different instantaneously. Giving 5 starts though could give more if possible!This is pure American Product genuine and specially made for MAC. I am pretty much sure you would not regret at all. 5Give your device new life with this upgradeI bought this to upgrade the RAM in my late 2011 MacBook Pro from 4GB to 16GB. Though apple says you can upgrade to a max of 8GB in this computer, and some other MacBook Pro's, you actually CAN upgrade to 16GB.I used an iFixit guide to help me upgrade the ram, and when I booted my computer up everything worked right, and the ram was correctly picked up. This was definitely a worthwhile upgrade, as my computer runs unbelievably fast. It's like my MacBook Pro has been given a new breath of life. 5Impressed with the performanceI had 4gb or ram in my Macbook Pro late 2011, it was literally crawling. I decided to upgrade the memory a while ago but I couldn't justify spending $150+. I came across this Timetec ram at Amazon.com which is almost 35% less than the name brand, I paid $90 for 16 gb. I was a bit skeptical because I never heard of this brand. But because of the rating I wanted to give it a shot. The installation was super easy. Now my mac responds very fast. I'm really impressed. I'm hoping that this ram is not going to fail on me. If things change, I'll update my review. But for now, it's awesome. 5Saved me so much $$$$$So I was terrified to do this as I have never opened the back of any computer but my late 2011 MacBook Pro is sooooo fast now! I watched a couple of Youtube videos specific to my computer and then popped in these cards. They are a little stubborn to come out and I was very careful...maybe too careful since the first two times they weren't locked in and my computer made little beeps when I tried to turn back on. I was terrified but the third time was a charm and it turns out you have to make sure you here the click when inserting the top card. This saved me from being a new laptop any time soon. My computer had gone to a crawl since it hasn't been able to handle any of the updates for the operating systems since??? Anyway, running Sierra 10.13.3 like a dream after the install. 5Super Easy to Install, like having a new machine!Performs much faster as expected! I only had 4GB in my mid-2011 iMac that I purchased from a business that folded. It wasn't even enough memory to upload the new OS or upgrade my Safari browser. Upon doing research I went out on a limb and decided to purchase this memory and install myself. If only I had the 'well that was easy' button. We used a small phillips screw driver, un-did the screws along the bottom and I simply flipped the plastic tab out, pressed each memory card in the two bottom open slots until I heard them click into place, put the cover back and re-started the machine. I changed out the memory after the machine was off for awhile so it wasn't hot. I followed the step by step instructions right from the Apple website as well. Like everyone says on the reviews....don't wait so long, just do it! My machine is super fast, I upgraded the OS and Safari with no issues and the machine is like new again with 12GB in total! 5So far so good.WORTH EVERY PENNY!For the price; you cannot beat this RAM! My Macbook Pro went from being slow-ish, to having hardly any trouble loading and supporting multiple apps at the same time. It's true - 4GB is the bare minimum to run a Macbook Pro.I purchased this for my Early 2011 Macbook Pro 13". I started with 4 GB RAM, and made the decision to upgrade to 16 GB. Initially, I was following Apple in that my Mac could only support 8GB. However, after some research, I discovered my Mac could in fact support 16GB RAM (reasons being Apple doesn't want you to have computers to compete with the newest models - akin to iPhone OS software slowing down your iPhone, etc.)I spent a lot of time debating between Timetec, Corsair, and Crucial. In the end, Timetec seemed legit, especially for the price.I was also skeptical at first about Timetec, with them being the cheapest. I would say this: know your product, and know if your device supports the product. Make sure you use anti-static to install the product as well. So far so good. 5... MacBook Pro and it has been one of the best purchases I have madeI bought this for my late 2011 MacBook Pro and it has been one of the best purchases I have made. Minus getting delivered to another destination and being late 3 days in delivery (Would have been 5 stars exempt delivery). Very simple to change out. (Which I have never even taken the back off my MacBook Pro before) Made my MacBook Pro super fast and now I am able to run several apps and programs at the same time without waiting. Wish I would have done it much sooner. 4Restore your older iMac to its original speed and solid operation...I have an iMac 27 , mid 2011, with original 4 g ram, with two open slots. Over the last year or so, it just kept getting slower and slower, then started a kernel panic restart every other day or so. I searched the web for possible fixes. Most responses pointed to the ram is too low.So, after looking at various providers for this type product, I saw this one. It had continual high ratings and statements that installing these two additional cards fixed everything. I also learned that if you use the Chrome browser, it can also be part of the kernel panic restart issue. I quit using that browser as well, and had no other panic restarts of the system.I ordered these, received in two days, and installed in less than 5 minutes, yes, 5 minutes. It s as simple as loosening 3 screws on bottom of monitor and pushing the two cards in the slots. Power back on, and fixed. My iMac now runs line it used to run, fast. It has not restarted due to panic kernel errors either.If you have an older iMac giving you speed issues, and panic restarts, try this ow cost option to fix it. 5Seamless process to install the memory - great product! 21.5" iMac mid 2011 editionI have a 21.5" iMac mid 2011 edition. It comes standard with 4gb of memory. That means it's a bit slow when more than a few applications are running. The installation process was as smooth as it gets. There are 4 memory slots on this particular model. I just screwed off the 4 screws on the back of my computer to access the memory slots. I popped in the two 4gb Timetec memory cards into the open slots then screwed the cover back on. I turned my computer on and it instantly recognized the new memory cards. My computer booted up A LOT faster! Now I can easily run my photo editing applications with little lag. Go Timetec! Everything is so much faster with 12gb of memory. The memory cards were packaged very well too so I know they are in good condition. 5Failed after 12 days (13-inch Early 2011 MacBook Pro), but excellent customer service!UPDATE (October 4th, 2018): Although I was probably unlucky and received a bad module, I would be happy to purchase from Timetec again as they do honor their lifetime guarantee and their customer service is top notch (they deserve 5 stars but I am still giving the product 3 as mine was defective and couldn't really test it long term. During the 12 days it did work my computer felt brand new).After my module started failing I got in touch with them (couldn't return through Amazon because I live abroad and wouldn't make meet the 30-day return window). They took a bit to reply but when they did they immediately offered to send a new module first and then I could return the defective one or simply return the defective one for a refund. Unfortunately, because I live abroad a replacement was harder to arrange, so they told me that as soon as I had someone traveling to the US I could request a label and return it, which I did and received the refund immediately. I really appreciate the constant communication from the team. Thank you!Original review from July 13th, 2018I had previously upgraded my Early 2011 MacBook Pro (13 inch) from 4GB to 8GB and it was working fine, but after a few years I figured it was time to upgrade to 16GB.Installed it on June 30th and it worked fine for the first 12 days. Last night my computer started lagging, but thought it was just a temporary issue as I was using multiple programs. I would not have suspected RAM, except for the fact that I decided to reboot the computer and now it is beeping during start up. Switched back to my old ram and no more beeps.I chose this brand instead of the previous one because a very high percentage of reviews for this product were positive, and it was listed a compatible with my computer. Unfortunately the product didn't work. The worse part is that I lost several files in the process. 3
