Customer Reviews

Perfect combination of basic filters. Excellent price. USA-madeLogical pairing of two most-needed filters for any field photographer. (Wide choice of diameters too!)5Very poor polarizationI really dislike leaving negative reviews, but in this case, it is justified. It is a shame, really, because Tiffen is a well-known name in the business, but anyway... The "polarizing" filters are very poorly effective at best. When looking through them at, say an auto windshield, you should be able to almost completely "polarize out" the reflections. That's what is supposed to happen. No matter which way I turned the filter however, the best I got was some deeper saturation of colours, especially blue and green. If I "stacked" the filters, and turned them 90 degrees to each other, what should happen is little or no light transmission. Instead, the pair acted like a polarized filter should. This is very disappointing as they were going to be used for the 2017 Eclipse (with appropriate solar filters, of course), and I will not have the opportunity to replace them soon enough. These filters will be returned, and better quality ones purchased. This product is NOT recommended.1Great filter pakFast delivery, good pricing. Works as expected.5Tiffen 77mm Photo Twin PackI bought the Tiffen 77mm Photo Twin Pack Polarizer And UV Protective Filter just to have something to cover the front element of my lens.My reviews are not full of tech terms and percentages. I don't tell you how many lumens it took before image quality broke down. If that's what you are looking for, I would suggest [...]. I try to write it in terms that anyone can understand. My test criteria was simply: put the filter on the lens; point it at a dark scene; pan towards the sun. When I noticed flare or ghosting, I quit. The UV filter. You get what you pay for, and this is no exception. In the grand scheme of things, this is not a high quality filter. But it is a good filter, especially when you consider what you paid for it. I seem to get more flare and am a bit more prone to ghosting with the filter in place, than without it. However, pointed away from any bright, contrasty, source of light, it does it's job, and does it good. I keep it parked under my lens cap, and use it most of the time while I'm shooting for fun. I take it off when I need to be sure of the shot. The CPL (Circular Polarizer). Again, you get what you pay for. But this time you get a little more. While not a professional filter, it does a darn good job. Fantastic for the price. It does tend to add to the flare and ghost factor, but keep in mind, this filter only works at right angles to the sun. So that should take care of the flare and ghosting issue. On the down side of the CPL. It may be just this filter that I have, but it seems a little difficult to get started on the lens. And it does not take many turns to seat (about 1.5). This makes me a little nervous about dropping it, or it falling off. Again, this could be my lens. Secondly, it's rotation is rather stiff. In fact, I have unscrewed it while trying to adjust it. Lastly, it tends to make the sky a bit too dark, or blue for my liking. But that could be just my taste, and is easily avoided by paying attention when I adjust (rotate) it.All in all, very good value. If you are looking for bang for the buck, this is it. If flare and ghosting matter to you, save your money and go for the professional line of filters offered by Tiffen.5Good choice of filters - pleased with twin packThese filters came in a nice protective package that I can reuse to store them in. Also came wrapped well. They were easy to screw on to the front of my camera lenses and I was able to stack them. I am very pleased with the polarizing lens and how much I can adjust the light levels, blue in the sky, etc. And I feel l better knowing that the other lens/UV filter provides some protection. I have read some feedback that the UV filter is waste of time, but this is such a good deal that I feel like it is worth it5Perfect lensI've had Tiffen lenses before and never been disappointed. I am still a fan.5A must buy if you are planning landscape photos These filters arrived pristine in their packaging. I am looking forward to experimenting with the polarizing filter on a sunny day. The UV will stay on all the time to protect the lens. 5Great quality, beautiful filters.Excellent quality, arrived in perfect condition as expected.I am a long-time user of Tiffen filters because they're made in the USA, they're glass (not acrylic), and they hold up to the sort of abuse wildlife photographers have to subject them to.The included travel bag is for one filter, as other reviews have noted. I personally use a filter holder with plastic dividers to carry an assortment of filters, but to each their own. This is a nice solution if you just need to swap them out quickly.5PROFESSIONAL REVIEW by @nickaiphoto AGFA 77mm Professional Deluxe Hard Lens Hood APHLH77these are great, the polarized one is great when the sun is harsh, just keep your comfortable settings and it pretty much equalizes the hard light, i used it shooting Atlanta Caribbean Carnival in straight sunlight most of day with bright colours and it did the trick, heckuva test run and it prevailed! good product for the $$$ go to your local photography supply and you'll tack on an extra ten bucks for probably just one of them.5Your images are only as good as what you shoot throughOn May 2nd, 2011 I ordered Tiffen 72mm Photo Twin Pack Filters. I ordered this for one of my Canon 50D camera lenses (can't remember which one). At the time we were planning a trip overseas so I was stocking up on my photo gear and after some research decided this was the right combination of price, performance, and protection for my lens. I m a fan of all things photography, in fact at times it s been an obsession of mine. Tiffen has had a long reputation of quality filters and these lived up to the expectation I had for them. They're high quality and well built. Your images are only as good as what you shoot through, protect your lens and always use high quality filters. The polarizing filter works just as expected and I use Haze / UVHaze / UV filters as a permanent lens protector. Nearly 6 years later I'm still using these filters. Definitely worth the price.Seller: Amazon LLCCondition: NewPurchase price: $66.95 (Shipped)5Great Value to Find These in One Combo PackTiffen makes some of the best filters out there and this twin pack doesn't disappoint. I may invest in another set for a different lens which has no filters on it at the moment.5
