Smooth and Pleasant SoundI'm more on the audiophile side with my preferences. These earphones sound very pleasant to me. I would describe them as smooth. I don't know if they are completely flat but if not they are definitely close to it but tuned just a bit. Treble is crystal clear but not harsh, mid range is full-bodied, vocals sound more or less natural but not too full. The bass has a solid sound that is not bloated or over amplified to oblivion. It extends nicely into sub bass frequencies. Soundstage is on the large side and doesn't sound like it's all coming from right in front of you, it has a nice big open sound signature. I haven't focused much on their imaging but so far it seems good, I can certainly perceive direction of sounds so the imaging seems accurate and detailed.Again, they just sound very smooth across the entire sound spectrum. My only minor complaint is the wire. It's tough to get the kinks from packaging to straighten. It's not as bad after a few days but it is a slight annoyance. Although I admit that I haven't had issues with it getting tangled up, it just has some stiff creases in it. So I am satisfied. These are a huge step up from my 10 dollar ifrogz. I feel like they are worth 50 dollars for sure. 5AmazingI ve had the e10 s for years, I never thought anything would be better. I just tried the e50 s, they are ridiculously good. It s like there s a concert in your head but crystal clear. Now I have to buy the e80 s to see what they are like. 5Got the upgrade I wantedI'm just your day to day music listening guy that used Apple's earpods and wanted an upgrade. I'm not much of an expert but I'm very happy with these. Only downside is the bass, it's a bit weak but nothing too bad. Also great isolation, which sometimes might be even dangerous because you hear nothing around you, so keep the volume down in the street...!I strongly recommend! 5Great sound for the price point but some reliability issues...Background: I had two pairs of SoundMagic E10. They sounded good but had issues with the built in electro-mechanical A/B switch for compatibility between different phones. This created a single point of mechanical failure where the contacts on the A/B switch would deteriorate and become corroded overtime until the headphone no longer works properly. Nonetheless, they both lasted for at least two years each.I had high expectations for the SoundMagic E50, and was not disappointed as they sound quite good for their price until the right ear broke in few months (right ear phone output was noticeably reduced in comparison to the left ear phone and made a rattling/hiss sound when playing audio).Fortunately, Amazon is an authorized re-seller for SoundMagic, and the replacement headphones was merely an Amazon return and exchange. I just hope my replacement SoundMagic E50 lasts at least two years like the SoundMagic E10s. 3Great for the moneyThe chord is excellent. Quiet and doesn't tangle easily. The sound quality is great. Nice low end, clean highs. The wide variety of tips that come with these ear buds allow you to make sure you get the right fit. Only downside to these is that they aren't as loud as I would like. I listen to a lot of unmastered recordings from up and coming artists for production purposes. These certainly aren't good for that because they don't get very loud without a headphone amp. For just listening to already mastered professional recordings they are loud enough.Pros:Sound qualityBass responseChord designLots of tips for a good fitCons:Not very loud 4Not great for the price.I am not an audiophile by any means but I have used several budget in ear headphones and IEMs and these just don't impress me.These are one bump up really from those $10 panasonics and offer not too much isolation. Not to mention you will get sound leakage from mid-high volume. I bought these because the M6 Pro hurt my ears but if you are looking for a dynamic soundstage do NOT buy these! The cord is also thin so I would be worried if these would be used for travel.They are honestly a step down really from apple earpods. 3WOWWent from Sony MDR 310s to Sony XBA - H1s to Soundmagic E50... The E50 are perfect if you do not want a whole bunch of bass blurring your vision. These are detailed mids, highs with enough low bass. For the price I don't know if you could find a better wired in ear option. 5I was disappointed to find out that these didn't have a microphone ...I was disappointed to find out that these didn't have a microphone in the year 2018, especially for the price point, but the sound quality and packaging is solid. Build quality feels a bit cheap, but I'm using these pretty casually, so it shouldn't be a problem for me. Definitely would recommend if you won't be talking on the phone or putting them through punishment while listening. 418 Months LaterWhat a nice surprise almost like being in the studio they are neutral maybe some warmth mid-range but I'm very happy, I couldn't afford the Sony 3 Armature again since after a few months one channel went out. Comfortable and they don't stick out much, I don't feel I could have done better for under $50 some rock most IEM seem to have one channel gets harder and harder to hear, "Anyone Else has one channel go out on headphones" Wellthese SoundMagic sound as good as the day I got them, maybe better, and they aren't square or some weird shape my ear isn't, they sound as good as ever and I so appreciate it Thank You rsdno 5Extremely satisfied with these "mid priced" ear budsExtremely satisfied with these "mid priced" ear buds. For the price you can't beat the sound quality. Deep base, satisfying mid range and a rich pronounced high end treble. Comfort is excellent. I can keep these buds in my ears for hours with no discomfort. Build quality so far seems good. I feel these buds will hold up. I do wish they had markings for left and right ears. Other models from this company have them. I wonder why these don't? My rambunctious naughty cat has swiped at my buds and so far they take a licking and keep on ticking (playing). I wish my swim buds had as good a sound quality. I bought them on Amazon and sound wise would get three stars and build quality four or five. Hope this helps. 5
