Don't waste your money its glitchy and awfulWish I could give zero stars. Unfortunately I didnt use it for awhile after I bought it so it's out of the return period but it was not worth the cheap price. If you push the buttons too quickly it takes you back to the home screen and then goes to the Sony Crackle page and you have to start all over. Waste of money1Glitchy remote. Don't buyEverytime you scroll right or left, it takes you to the screen to add the Crackle channel. So you will be scrolling thru movies and it automatically jumps to "install" the Crackle channel. I thought it was just me, but then all 4 of my boys started complaining about it doing it.1Works after support, see solutionTook a chance on this, based on 50/50 reviews and the remote wasn't working straight out of the "box" but I contacted support and followed the directions below and it works beautifully now. They should include these instructions with the remote, I think it might help the reviews, but here they are, if you are having problems.Dear Customer,Thank you very much for the business,The remote is preprogrammed and works right away by putting batteries into. This is infrared remote, Please use it in front of your roku.If it does not work,Please reset as below:1. Remove batteries from remote control2. Press every button for 3 second on the remote at least one (1) time to drain any residual power. This also helps to check for stuck buttons.3. Insert BRAND-NEW batteries into the remote and make sure the batteries are correctly installed with the positive and negative ends in the right direction.4. Sometimes the problem isn t the remote. Sometimes the problem is the TV/Roku. Just unplug the TV/Roku from the power outlet and hold down the power button on the side of the TV/Roku for 15 seconds. Doing this drains residual power and can clear up odd issues. Then plug the TV/Roku back in and power it on.Check to see if the remote is now working.4Remote keeps taking me to Sony CrackleI used this product as a replacement for the Roku remote which came with the Roku unit. I don't know why that stopped working; changing the batteries did not do the trick. Anyway, this remote kept taking me to Sony Crackle, which I do not even have as an app on my Roku. It doesn't matter who used the remote, if moving at more than a snail's pace, and sometimes even then, it would send me to Crackle EVEN IF I was in the middle of doing a search on youtube. It's definitely a cheap knock off. And the reviews I have read for Roku support say it's awful anyway so I would just get more frustrated than I already am. I've gone through all the settings to no avail. Nothing online about this either. So I am going to return this piece of junk and use the Roku app on my phone which does not have this issue. PROBLEM SOLVED!!1Works but frustratingI'm by original remote the okay button quit working and I thought I'd go ahead and try this it works but it's frustrating have to keep moving my hand around in different areas trying to get closer to the TV just to be able to make it work. I've never had any remote that work like this before a lot of my remotes I didn't have to even aim them at the TV and they just worked this one is just very finicky and it gets frustrating trying to find the right angle just so it will work. I am going to do an update on this Because I am so frustrated about it right now. I am literally. 5 feet from the TV most of the time when I'm using this TV and my Roku. I have to keep my old remote by me which is a necessity with this remote When I sit down and watch TV, I like not to get up too much because I can't walk. I have tried to move my Roku box in many different positions because if you're not right up on that with the remote It won't do anything. And I need it because my input button doesn't work my remote control that came. With my Roku. You can have remotes in into inches above it and 95% of the time It still won't work. I am fine if it just didn't have the input for the headphones And I just found out that my voice control on my Roku doesn't work which This one doesn't have one anyways Literally tried rewinding programs. The catch what I missed if I was talking on the phone or something And if the rewind button would work at the time there's no way to stop it because it goes way past where you wanted it to be Watching it at. I might be. I'm really frustrated right now because I quit smoking a week ago and everything is getting on my nerves and I'm so mad at this remote right now I wish I could throw it at the TV, But I think that's how my first remote broke. It is so worth paying the extra money if you can find a different remote for this Roku. I wish I wasn't being so cheap that day .1
