Customer Reviews

Excellent quality! At this point all of my connections have been seamless and all my cables connect and secure into the ports. So far all of my cables have been Solid copper, I will be making some CCA's soon, but I would expect those to be the same.I have ordered many RJ45 connectors, mainly because I like to have the size cable that I need, and have a collection of those that don't work properly. They include connectors that don't crimp properly which allows the wires to disconnect from the connector, to tips that don't click into the ethernet ports.5I've crimped about 20 connectors and I find it almost decent to useI have a Southwire RJ-45 Crimper tool that I've used for the past year for my job. I've never had issues crimping Cat5e Connectors but this product was much different than what I expected. First of all it uses a Cat6 connector design where one cable is layered on top of another sortof like if it was building a pyramid. But that part is fine and easy to guide the wires in.My main concern is that when I try to crimp the connectors I get a nasty clicking noise where the gold pins don't match up with my crimper. I've made about 20 connections so far and I am not happy with how they turned out. They work and don't get packet losses through wireshark but the problem is that the gold pins when you look at the side don't go all the way in the wire. This is especially seen on orange on the B standard wiring, the 3 spiked pin is barely making contact inside the wire and that's with crimping as hard as I can. It's like the spacing between the connectors were millimeters off and aren't perfected. Conclusion: It is cheap enough to deal with but I will not be buying from this brand again due to not fitting properly on a RJ-45 Crimping Tool.2Works perfectlyFinally got around to buying bulk cable, rj45 connectors and a crimp tool. It's part of a project I'm doing to upgrade the network, which involves running a network drop to my room as well as custom cable lengths to tidy up the areas I have devices hooked up. These work perfectly. The wire pairs are slightly offset from eachother in the connector, which took a bit of practice to get used to getting the cables in. It's much easier to do with propper copper cable as the more rigid copper is able to push into the connector easier than copper clad. Though you really don't want to use copper clad when you can avoid it anyway.Paired these with a $15 crimp tool and I was ready to go. The connectors are solidly constructed, and I haven't had any of them end up faulty after doing multiple cables. They have a strong click when they are inserted into a port, and the latch feels very sturdy and unlikely to break without being abused. Definitely recommend this for cat6 cable work5Don't be surprised if your connector doesn't work the first ...Don't be surprised if your connector doesn't work the first time. I had to cut off the end and start again. But with the price, I don't mind a couple of throw a ways!!! I will definitely buy again.4No bad onesI use a high quality crimper by Klein and take my time when making connections. Used a few dozen of these, and so far, 100% success rate.Ratcheting Crimper, Modular Crimper Cutter Stripper for RJ45, CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6A Klein Tools VDV226-011-SEN5Works great for Cat6I like these. The Cat6 connectors have two rows of three openings when you push the wires in. This makes it easier and more reliable over connectors made for Cat5 and older. I much prefer these over the EZ-45 style where the wires go through the connector and then you have to use their tool to cut off the excess. I've done many hundreds of both styles and I can complete a connector end with these much quicker than the EZ-45 connectors and I don't remember the last time I did one of these that didn't work.5Doesn't Pass ThroughThe wires don't pass all the way through. They butt up against the end on the inside. These are significantly more difficult to crimp than the alternative. I'm pitching the whole batch and buying a different brand.2Definitely not friendly for beginners.I am just a beginner, so don't quote me too much on this review if you are a pro. What I can't say is, this is not something that you want to buy if you are just starting doing this or if you are just doing on your own whating YouTube. In this case you want to get something that comes with the inside piece. This does not come with that and makes almost impossible to feed the wire in the correct hole. BUY THE ONE WITH THE INSIDE PIECE. you won't regret it.1Test BadI was using these RJ45 tips for an IP camera installation and 3 out of 5 cameras had bad connections on the first run. After reterminating close to 20 times we finally dug in the truck for some old RJ45 tips and after reterminating once we resolved the issues. We are not novices at terminating Cat5, and do these terminations regularly. I can say that we have not had many issues using these to terminate a network connection but when it comes to running a POE IP camera they proved to be very problematic and costs us a few hours of time on a job site. Would much rather pay a little more for a quality connector that we can count on working the first time.1Well crafted for prosI have been doing telecom work for almost 20 years. I usually use Leviton modular ends but didn't want to bother with them for this bigger job for a Verizon store. I saw these on Amazon and skimmed through the reviews and determined I would give these a try. These are what the old school pros want to use! These are 1 piece... no little slider things you have to try to cram into the end and then crimp... I cannot stand those! It's ok if other people like them, but I don't and I don't need them. If I crimp 100 ends maybe 1 or 2 (or less) would need cut and re-crimped for some reason or another. These come in 2 separate bags of 50 ea. and I like that also. When I get low on these I will definitely be reordering!5
