    A very bad-ass combination lock. My grandfather had a Sesamee padlock on his foot locker during WWII, and had very good things to say about it. Semper Fi. :-) This lock requires you to select a combination and then push the shackle in to try the combination, so you can't just spin through the 10,000 combinations over 15 minutes and try them all, it takes significantly longer. So, this is probably less secure than a high security keyed lock (with 5 or 6 pins), but definitely more secure than regular padlocks, especially if you don't have a convenient place to securely store the key.However, the shackle on this is a MONSTER, it's quite big. I got this for a locking bar on a file cabinet, and I had to use a file to open up the hole on the locking bar to use this padlock. In fact, this padlock is far more secure than the locking bar I got, but mostly I am using the locking bar to ensure that if someone gets into the files we know about it, so having a more secure lock makes sense. 5Sesamee K636 4 Dial Combination Lock Super Quick Shipping - Exclusive Combination Padlock With Four Number Combination - AAA+++ Ratings 5BEST quality locks I've come across. USED them in a over the water move/container I forget if it's this Sesamee lock or another Sesame lock that I own that kept my container secure for 3 weeks plus over the ocean. I was moving my whole adult life 2500 miles away and the joke of Matson giving me a flimsy metal "tie" (for security) was not cutting it for my personal belongings security. Sesamee locks to the rescue. Even the moving company who helped us pack up a 40Ft. container was very impressed by this lock!!! That is saying something right there!! Will only buy Sesamee locks from here on out!! 5bad ass is right, however.... ....in order to set the combination, you need a "hooped change pin". This is a special pin, that doesn't come with the lock. So now I got this nice lock, without any way of changing the combination....If people from sesamee see this, and want me to change my rating to 5 stars, please send me a hooped change pin.ty. 3very heavy built lock Setting my desired combination was simple, the lock needed to be open to do this. Just keep the supplied pin pushed in all the way while you do this. haven't had a chance to test on the weatherproof. My only disappointment is that as heavy duty the lock itself is, the brass combination wheels have numbers that are not very well embedded into the brass. So the numbers could be worn off after a while. 5Massive Lock!!! This lock is huge and heavy. The picture just does not really show how large this lock truly is. If you are looking for a lock with a large shackle, then look no further. This is one of the very few that is a combination lock.I gave it 4 out of 5 stars because the numbers are difficult to read, otherwise it is an excellent lock and would be extremely difficult to defeat with 4' bolt cutters. 4Solid lock. You will get your money's worth. The other reviewer who said this is a repackaged cheap-o lock certainly must not have even handled the thing. Heavy duty with significant weight. Combo dials assertively click to every number without any play. Has a sweet feature that will let you open in the dark; dials will roll on forever in ascending order, but if you roll the dials the other way they come to a stop at zero. Then just count the clicks as you dial in the combo. Shackle is bigger than your standard lock and might not work on all latches. 5Epic lock, but a bit tough to use. I love this lock, very high security. But the shackle guards mean that this may not fit on what you want to mount it on. I got this for one of those "public storage" facilities, and it really only fits with the combination dials pointing up, which I worry about the weather getting into the mechanism and causing problems. However, I think that if someone were to come along with bolt cutters or a hacksaw, they'd have a very tough time getting into this. In retrospect, however, I probably should have gotten the model without the shoulders. 5The best Combo Lock on the Market! I use this big-boy to lock a large steel ammo box at home. I have young ones around, and keys in my opinion, are a security risk. It has the thickest shackle I could find in a combination lock, and the design makes it impossible to cut the shackle in my implementation. I've been pretty successful at figuring out the combinations on other locks via the means that are easily accessible on the internet. I've had my wife change the combo and couldn't crack this one! I'm sure there are plenty of people out there who could but that's not what I'm worried about; I just need to keep my 9 year old kids out. 5Good security for combination padlock As far as combination padlocks go, the Sesamee K637 is second only to the Abus 190 (which is more expensive). Lower end combination padlocks are easily opened with a pry bar - the K637 has a heavy, hardened shackle and durable mechanism. Be sure to lube the lock with fine graphite before first use - especially if used outdoors - it is prone to jamming. All combination padlocks are prone to "shifting" of the combination - where constant vibration internally changes one of the combination numbers. Most people think the lock becomes "jammed". I've seen this happen to a dozen Master 1175 padlocks - I finally stopped using them. Only had it happen to one Sesamee K637. The reset tool fits into the open hole of the shackle, so the lock has to be open to reset the combination.Updated 12.31.2013: I've now used several of these on a six month construction project. Very dusty conditions, very frequent unlock/lock cycles, high impact and vibration. 2 of 5 have failed due to the "shifting" of the combination - remaining are working fine. On the same job site, 7 of 7 Masterlock model 1175 have failed in less than 3 weeks. Under heavy use conditions, the K637 is still the most cost effective option for a combination padlock. 4
