This product eliminated this risk of all the other products that "Looked like they'd work"Solved the problem! Older rear projection TV without HDMI! This product eliminated this risk of all the other products that "Looked like they'd work". The reviews of those products were 50% positive at best... This product worked with my Roku XS 2 and my Hitachi Rear projection TV like a champ. I highly recommend it. Just order this one and get it done- don't screw around with the others!5They WORK !!I don't know why they made these just specially for the roku I bought- but these absolutely do work on the model roku 2 xs that I have. ..! Plugged them in and POW - my roku was up and running in a split second !! They were reasonably priced, free shipping since I have prime, arrived in 2 days, well packed- no problems. And, best of all--they WORK !! Just make sure you check the model roku that you have with the model roku these cables are made for. I think they are made for only one model of roku- the roku 2xs- with the hdmi connection, as well as ethernet- I do believe it is the only model that has both connections..so just be sure that is the model you have. Thanks again amazon.com..5Works with the Roku on older TVCables worked great for our Roku on our older TV, but like another reviewer said the colors are mixed up, I think we had to switch the yellow and red around, otherwise it was just loud noise but once we did that, great picture and sound and was SO much cheaper than what Radio Shack was charging for the same thing, they wanted almost $504Intended for a Roku, Works for a Roku!I ordered this cable for a Roku 2 XD model, and it works perfectly with my Sansui SDTV tube television. I can tell that this is really meant to work with a Roku, unlike all the other cables I saw on Amazon which were for camcorders; the product descriptions and reviews said that they could supposedly possibly work with a Roku.I wasn't willing to take any chances, so I settled on this product, even though there were cheaper cables, because it specifically says that it is meant for a Roku. Well, this product WILL work, and does work, with a Roku, as promised (at least, I know it works with the Roku 2 XD). The picture and sound transmits perfectly clearly. The package arrived on the promised day and the product was new and in plastic.5It worked better than the generic cables from my camcorderAs a big fan of CRT screens, I still have a Roku LT that I wanted to use with my tube TV. So, I initially tried 2 generic 3.5mm to RCA cables that I had sitting around in a drawer. They did they job, only mediocrely. I could only push the 3.5mm half way into the Roku or the video signal would be lost. And the audio would only come out on the left side speaker of the TV. Until... I decided to give this other cable from Amazon a try: It worked flawlessly!! I can plug it all the way into the Roku LT, and it snaps in perfectly. I'm also getting audio out on both the Left and Right side speakers on the TV. I find it strange how the generic cables look just the same as this one, but they are not the same. At any rate, I'm happy with the item sold here.5Oh What a ReliefI lost my original Roku cable while moving and didn't want to shell out $15 to replace it (knowing it'll reappear soon enough to make me regret the expense, of course). But while perusing Roku-related stuff I ran across an HDMI-to-RCA converter and convinced myself something magical would occur inside that little box to produce any number of magnificent enhancements to the audio and video that consume my attention pretty much 24/7.Yeah, well. It just added mass to the spaghetti-snarl of cords behind the TV stand and caused everything onscreen to look weird. The eternal band of squiggly lines crawling up the picture made my eyes roll back in my head and there were no discernible audio effects at all. So, that fantasy contraption is now Amazon-bound.... And at half its cost this cable doesn't seem quite so exorbitant after all. Plus, it works. Four little connections and no power supply. Just plug it in and it works. Ahhhhhh.5It works, but...I bought this cable to connect a Roku 2 XS to my old Sony TV that has no HDMI connection. It works, but... I had to figure out which cable carries the video signal and which ones carry the sound (left+right). On a normal RCA cable the yellow carries the video and the red and white carry the sound. In the cable I received the red carries the video and the other two the sounds. No big deal, but it's kind of annoying and puzzling when you first install it. After that, of course, it doesn't make a difference. The image and sound are correct. My advice, if you receive a cable like mine with mixed-up color codings, try to locate the video connector first by trying all 3 separatly in the video input of your TV (yellow). When you've found which one carries the video signal, just keep it there and then connect the other two into the sound inputs of your TV (red & white).4Works for Roku exactly as advertised. The whole point of this oddball cable, which LOOKS like a traditional A/V cable with composite video and stereo audio, is that it fits the very annoying slightly different A/V outlet on my Roku 2 and a few other Rokus as well. It does fit and it works as advertised. Perfect solution to a very dumb design choice at Roku.Traditional 3.5 mm dia. A/V cables use a four-conductor jack ALMOST the same as this one (containing video, audio L, audio R, and ground), but they don't work in Roku. Thanks to this seller for stocking and selling the right thing. By the way: this custom-for Roku cable will most likely not work in non-Roku products unless they adopted the odd Roku variation.5It works at leastThe sound quality from my surround sound system is the same as with the original Roku cords. However, the picture quality with my projector is about 65% of that I had using the original Roku cords. At least the static-iness the older cords had is gone and at least I know the issue was 100% the AV cords. Now to find some real Roku replacement cords.3Good product as advertisedI needed an extra converter cable to connect my Roku streaming stick to a VCR. It has a 1/8" male plug on one end for the Roku and the traditional red-white-yellow RCA male plugs at the other end for the VCR. The RCA plugs are what is known as composite (for those unsure, the similar connections with the blue & green plugs are called component, which is for newer technology). This product does a very good job for a decent price. No complaints at all.5
