Customer Reviews

Pretty goodThese worked pretty well for my needs. They work significantly better with a small pilot hole drilled first. The few I attempted to hammer straight into drywall seemed to want to bend or deform. Otherwise it was a decent value and so far they've held up without any issues.4but super high qualityA bit expensive, but super high quality. If you get the drive tool and these things, you'll never have trouble installing them.5WorthlessAs others have remarked, these are 1.75" long, not 1.25" as advertised. I knew that when I ordered. That is not the problem. The problem is that the little spikes on the flange part of the molly are of such inferior metal that instead of biting into the sheetrock, they instantly flatten, as if made of rubber. A couple of twists with a screwdriver, and all you have is a 1/2" hole in the wall. And a significant amount of time wasted patching said holes.1Gives a strong attachment point in drywall A good product when used with a molly gun 5Quality, but not as describedThis would probably be a good molly bolt for 3/8ths panel, but I wouldn't recommend it for 1/2inch or higher. In my testing, the expanding prongs had a high tendency to collapse (very high tendency in materials stronger than drywall). This would significantly reduce the retention area, which likely would reduce the rated strength equally.I'm no expert, but I think these may have been mislabeled. They seem to be a great quality for the price, if you are using them 3/8ths thickness or less panel.2Just about perfectThese are awesome. High quality anchors. Used in many projects. Most of the pack is gone already and I only drove one of them through the wall (it was mostly my fault). It'd be nice if the plate that sits on the outside of the wall were a tiny bit larger so that you could be a little more aggressive driving them in, but its a trade-off because what you are mounting might not be big enough to cover the plate then.5Five StarsBest anchors I have used thus far in my 35 years of remodeling.5Good molly boltGood molly bolt. Consistent quality. Every one worked just as it should. These are particularly nice to use with the Silverline Dry Hollow Cavity Wall Fixings Anchor Setting Tool. The tool name is a mouthful but it WORKS GREAT.170mm Wall Anchor Setting Tool5It's a molly bolt that works without issue. These are fairly typical molly bolts. There's a plastic protector for the screw tip that, in theory, enables you to just hammer these through your drywall. In practice, you'll want to pre-drill a hole and then hammer the molly bolt through that. These work particularly well for cases where there's not enough room between the drywall and whatever's behind it to support a toggle bolt. I was pulling my hair out trying to get toggle bolts to work on a microwave bracket and eventually gave it up as a lost cause due to the limited in-wall space; 10 minutes and 4 of these bolts and I was done.Granted, they're pricey - about 40 cents a bolt - but are immensely helpful for applications where a stud cannot be used, toggle bolts won't work, and drywall anchors do not provide sufficient load capacity. Amazon makes it easy. I'd buy again, but I'd wager the 50 I bought are going to last me a while.5Spotty at best in all circumstancesI'd say these only worked well for me about 1/3 of the time. You REALLY have to torque the hell out of them to get them to bite properly and depending on the thickness of your sheetrock these may not work at all.Tried installing with a screwdriver, drill and the proper "gun" for these molly bolts. Spotty at best in all circumstances.2Terrible quality. UselessI TRIED to use these to hang a curtain rod. The threads strip out easily when tightening the molly. Do not hold tight to the wall. Useless! I ended up using the plastic toggles which worked much better AND you can remove them without destroying your wall. Plastic toggles are a much better option.1
