Now stuck in mouse purgatory At first I very much disliked it so I went back to the ground mouse. But that instantly didn't feel right anymore. So now I'm in limbo because now I dislike both kinds. As my coworkers say, now I'm in mouse purgatory. 3Great mouse for the money. Bought another for friend; he likes it too.Terrific device with some room for improvement rubberizing entire mouse for additional grip, relocating inside rim buttons to bottom for easier thumb activation, making a white version of mouse. Comfortable shape and controls. Constructed well buttons and scroll wheel work well. Great value.5Good for carpal-tunnel and other wrist issues.Love this mouse. This is my second one(owned previous model) I have had carpal-tunnel for over 10 yrs. This mouse has been a blessing. Not only was it a good mouse but I could use it for an hour and not have my hand go numb. The previous model my have had minor issues with the wheel but it never caused me any issues. The previous mouse lasted my several years and many liquid spills. The fact its wireless is a great bonus. If your looking for a good mouse and have wrist issues like carpal-tunnel then this is agood buy.5Will not reconnect to computer unless I turn it off and on again. Replacement requested.I have the left-handed version of this mouse that I used when I had injured my right arm. I like the ergonomics a lot, so, when my Logitech mouse started acting up, I ordered the right-handed version. This one will not wake the computer by moving it (the left-handed one wakes the computer every time). It also will not reconnect to the computer automatically when I use another method to wake the computer. I must turn the mouse off and then on again in order for it to reconnect. I have asked for a replacement.1This mouse is a life-saverI love this mouse. I work at a computer all day and used to have horrible shooting pains in my wrists and arm. I decided to try an ergonomic mouse. I've ordered several different ones to try, and the Perixx PERIMICE-513N ended up fitting my hand the best. I have medium-to-large hands and others were tilted too little or too far, not big enough, or didn't support my little finger well to keep the weight off the edge of my palm. After a couple weeks use with this mouse, the pain was gone completely. I can't recommend it enough. I have since ordered an ergonomic keyboard and THREE more model 513Ns to use with my other computers.Great price. Great product.5Love this! Helped wrist painFirst time trying a vertical mouse and loving this one! Will turn off after not using to conserve battery power, easy installation, smooth tracking and clicking. Has helped my wrist pain from 45 hours a week at a computer tremendously. Highly recommend!5Very impressed...great $12 vertical mouseThe Perixx company continues to impress me.Decided to give a try to these upright/vertical/handshake grip style mice. Got this one for $11.99 Prime.First off, this review is for the WIRED version (which is clearly stated in the title, but looking at the reviews, some people didn't notice).it illuminates! which came as a surprise. the bar on the thumb portion glows a very awesome blue, which is EXACTLY the same color as my Perixx wired keyboard (a hidden bonus). Had seen some pictures of this mouse (which is very similar if not identical to the Anker version here: Anker 2.4G Wireless Vertical Ergonomic Optical Mouse, 800 / 1200 /1600DPI, 5 Buttons - Black and the Sharkk version here: SHARKK Vertical Mouse Ergonomic High Precision Optical Mice Super Comfortable Wired Mouse) online where someone used MS Paint to draw a blue line where the unit glows. i can confirm it glows all by itself.Have only used it for an hour, and already i am very pleased with it. Mousing feels a bit awkward after 30 years using a typical mouse, but my wrist already feels more comfortable, and i'll get used to the new configuration sooner or later. The "High Quality Rubber Coating Surface" is odd in a good way. it looks like a matte plastic finish, but has more grip than plain plastic should have (if that makes sense). I guess it's to give people peace of mind that they won't lose their grip on the mouse, but as it is so lightweight, it's a non-issue for me, personally. It is not a think layer, in any case. It has no extra give (like a neoprene sleeve would have). The cord is plain plastic. the cord for my Perixx keyboard (Perixx PX-2000, Programmable Backlit Gaming Keyboard - 6 Macro Keys with 3 User Profile - Blue Illuminated Backlit Keys - Gold-plated USB Connector - 6 Feet Braided Fiber Cable was braided, so i guess i was hoping this one would be too...but it did not specifically say it was. (and really, i wouldn't really expect a braided cord cover for the price i paid for this mouse.)I had never heard of Perixx before i bought my keyboard (August 2013, and still going strong), but i have had nothing but positive experiences with their products thus far.Would highly recommend this mouse specifically and Perixx products in general.5FINALLY Scroll Bar Works Properly! I was hesitant to purchase this because I was skeptical of the Hardware Update claim regarding the correction of the scroll wheel. I owned the previous version and the scroll wheel was garbage. Whenever you tried to scroll vertically on a page, the screen would violently jerk up and down. Often scrolling downwards would push you upwards on the screen. It was an unusable mouse despite being much more comfortable to use. My wrist often goes numb with normal mice, but the vertical design of this mouse seemed to clear that problem up. I was disappointed the scroll wheel was so terrible. This hardware update is legit, though. The scroll wheel now seems to be working perfectly. I love using it now. Definitely recommend if you tend to have wrist discomfort when using a normal mouse. 4I love the way you can grip this mouse especially because ...I have to change my review. I love the way you can grip this mouse especially because I'm always on my computer, however, I just got it in June, and it is no longer working. Sometimes it works, sometimes the lights flash, and sometimes you cannot see the mouse on the screen. I would love to get it replaced but its past the return time. So I'm a little disappointed. It did not cost that much to purchase. So I guess you get what you pay for. Service and delivery was great. I would give it 5 stars if it didn't stop working after such a short period of time.3This has helped my mouse elbow (tennis elbow) tremendously. ...This has helped my mouse elbow (tennis elbow) tremendously. Not too tough to get used to although I knock it off my keyboard tray all the time because it is taller. If you suffer from elbow tendinitis from repeated desk work give this a try.5Great so-far!So-far so-good, though I've only had this for about 12 hours, I like the feel of it. I did have to download custom software to remap the buttons, as I'm an engineer who lost his designer, and am therefore living in CAD 60 hours a week. The change I had to make was re-assign the "back" thumb button the middle-click button, and it is now a joy to work with. Iit is truly more comfortable and relieves some, or most, of the discomfort I was experiencing when using my old mouse (which I loved, a logitech performance MX) but I think I'm simlpy working too much lately to constantly have my wrist twisted like that. I have no problems pushing the main two buttons or the back button. The forward button is a bit of a reach for me, so I assigned it to a CAD function I don't use very often. The motion seems good so-far, and though I havn't messed with the acceleration yet, seems pretty good out-of-the-box.One star removed for how difficult it is to actuate (push the scroll wheel "down") but if you don't need that button at all, and want a more comfortable mouse, this is a great mouse. The mouse feels good and solidly built, and when considering the price, deserves to have the last start replaced. I will try this for a few weeks, and if it is still as pleasing to work with, will buy another one or two!5I love it. I haven't used any other vertical mice ...I love it. I haven't used any other vertical mice to compare it with. But I have used dozens of Logitech, Microsoft, and OEM mice. And a couple of touch pads and pointers. This mouse beats them all.I wondered about the browser back and forward buttons and thought they were gimmicks I'd never get used to using. It took exactly two clicks for them to become second nature. My wrist and hand are particularly happy with the reorientation of my mousing adventures. It has a pretty clever battery saving system that has required some retraining on my part. When it sits idle long enough it goes into deep sleep which requires a (mechanical) mouse click to wake it. I really like this for two reasons: 1) Electronic switches are using power whether they're "on" or not. 2) It doesn't wake my computer just because it or the desk get nudged. The scroll wheel works very well. It also functions as the center button which entails my one complaint; it's really stiff. If that's related to how ell the wheel works, well then I'll take it.That's it for the first month of use.5
