Fast and easy child proofing for large indows or sliding doors I was really at a loss as to toddler proofing our 3rd floor windows. The windows are extremely wide. Several adults could fit through the window let alone a curious toddler. Since the windows are so big most of the security options would not work - screens would be too small and block the view. I even considered installing a child gate but that would make her room look like a jail. I also considered just having the wooden dowels but there is nothing to stop her walking away with it.Then I saw the Super Stoppers on Amazon and thought "that's it!". I ordered 2 to start and they worked really well. Once installed I gave it several really hard pushes to force the window. It didn't budge! 5needed to raise window for fresh airthey work! Criminals cant squeeze thru the 4" crack so therefore I dont have all the paperwork after I shoot them!5love this silly thingi bought this very expensive suction cup to keep my kids in the house. i have a huge sliding glass door and there is no other way to childproof once they can unlock the doors. my kids are 4 and 3 and still have not figured this one out, as long as it is above thier reach. It has been banged, stepped on, chewed on, thrown by hubby (he hates it because he never remembers that it is there) and is still going strong. If you have kids who are older than child-proof age, but still too short to reach it, this is the product for you!5Husband has increased his use of four letter words but this is so worth it. I have a 3 year old and a 4 year old and live on the lake so I have always been a little uneasy about them learning how to open the door and slipping outside. These two little suction cup things have eased my mind. I put them both on the door and they even stop my husband from opening the door when he isn't paying attention. 5works greatThese work great, I have 3, one on each of the windows in my toddler's room and one on his sliding closet doors. They are easy to pry off which is a plus for me when I want to open the door or window, but as long as they are out of reach of the child they won't pop off. Great for travel too, particularly for sliding glass doors at Grandma's, since they are non-permanent and non-damaging.5Good Security! We just moved our toddler from the crib into a bed. I got these for his windows in his bedroom because our window sills are low and his room is on the 2nd story. I used two stoppers for each window and so far they have been great. They stick very well and do not allow the window to go past them (when 2 are used per window). I tried using just 1 per window and was able to force the window open. I doubt my 2-year old will have enough strength to force it open with just 1 stopper, but I'd rather be safe than sorry so I put 2 on each window. While that does add to the expense, it's my child's safety and it's worth it. I will be buying some for all of our upstairs windows now that he has free reign on the house.4Good way to help protect the little onesI put these on our second floor windows to help ensure the little ones won't fall out. They have strong suction cups and do a good job at stopping the windows. I just wish they weren't so expensive. Of course nothing is 100% fool proof but at least these help.5Works perfectly, just expensiveKeeps my 21 month old from opening the mirrored closet doors. Actually pretty strong. I put it where he can't reach it. He knows that's what's keeping him from openings the doors, but hasn't figured out what to do about it yet. Only getting 4 stars because its expensive. I haven't found anything comparable.4much better.I got two for each door, so a total of four for two sliding doors. They give me no peace of mind. I was able to bang them off one door and they fell of the other from the heat of the sun. I went to the hardware store got a piece of wood cut and some velcro tape. Much, much better.2Work great!I bought these for all the windows upstairs in my house. The screen are very dangerous and easily pop out. Being paranoid I thought I would just limit how far the kids could even open them. So far they have been great. My only complaint is that I wish I could wedge them further on the window without the suction cup sticking but it does work well and I'm glad I bought them.4Suction Looses Grip - Major Safety IssueThe suction looses grip and the unit continually falls off the window onto the floor. With the unit on the floor, the window is left open with no stopper. We've had to utilize other methods to make a permanent solution to preventing the window from opening farther than desired. Look else-where if safety is a concern.1This is a gem! If you have a curious toddler you need this!!!!!!I bought this to keep my 2.75 year old from opening the patio door. I tried opening it and I could not. I also use it during nap time to keep him from opening his window. I need to buy more of these, but at 11 bucks a pop, I need a better deal. This is truly a safety must have.5
