Customer Reviews

Perfect cable for Tritton AXPro headset.I got this cable to get my AXPro headset connected to the headset port on my Xbox 360 Onza controller as well as the normal wireless 360 controller when the chat pad is attached. I originally couldn't find this and tried both a 2.5mm to 3.5mm and a 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapter to normal double ended 3.5mm/2.5mm cables. That setup never worked consistently with static every time the cables moved and since they came straight out it was much more cumbersome. It's exactly what I needed. 3.5mm to 2.5mm male stereo with right angle connectors and the right length. It's quality is actually better than the normal cable that came with the AXPro. Might be useful for other headsets that also use a 2.5mm to 3.5mm setup. 5Decent quality, too short. For some reason I thought it was 6ft long, I can confirm this product is 3ft. Also, in case anyone is wondering, this will not work for the Sennheiser HD-380s. The 2.5mm portion is too short to reach the jack on the headphones.Overall, the quality of the cable seems fair at first glance. However, I will not be testing this any, because I have no use for such a cable and will likely never have one. So, into the trash this goes. :( 3Great for our need to support several Radio Scanner Streams for our vast network at BRADYCOMMUsed for scanner to audio discriminator audio for Home Patrol and purchased many of these for the network for BRADYCOMM, a communications company that uses, in this case, radio scanners to stream public safety, law enforcement, EMS info from BRADYCOMM servers to radio and television broadcasters, and enthusiasts. 3good but wasn't what I was looking forI got this thing for my px5 turtle beach headset to connect to my laptop. It send audio nicely to the headset. The only downside, I don't know if it is the headset or the cable, but when I turn my head to look around the room, the cable would rotate and cause static in the headphone or come a bit loose. I'm always having to reseat it when that happened.the other annoying thing is, no fault to this cable, is that the px5 turtle beach has a auto-shut off feature when it doesn't get any signal. This cable does not signal the px5 that it is getting signal and power down every 5 minutes. 3A Properly Constructed CableI bought this cable specifically to replace the cable between my FM radio transmitter and my MP3 player for use in my car. The old cable was fraying badly, and I was picking up both a background low frequency hum and interference from nearby FM stations. With this new cable, both the hum and interference totally disappeared, which I attribute to this cable having good construction with proper shielding (which is probably why it is much thicker than the old cable). The sound quality from my MP3 player now rivals that of the radio CD player. Both connectors fit properly, snug without being too tight, and make solid connection. While this cable costs a little more than some others I've seen, I recommend this cable for this type of application, the extra cost being fully worth it.---Reviewed by Patrick Shepherd (hyperpat) 5GrrFatManI have used this cord in 2 different headsets with two different controllers on my Xbox both of them crackle and pop and make static you literally have to lick the end and stick it in to get any kind of clean audio for a few minutes.Even if it was $.99 I wouldn't buy it again! 1Makes a HUGE difference with FM TransmittersI bought this to replace the factory cable that came with my Soundfly SD WMA/MP3 Player Car Fm Transmitter (you know, to broadcast my phone's music to my in car stereo). The difference was amazing. Not only was the original cable a total piece of crap, but by the time this replacement showed up, I was down to mono sound due to the fraying of the wires on the skinny little short cable. I'd recommend upgrading to this anyday. It helps that this is one of the few 2.5mm to 3.5 mm cables even sold on amazon (that I could find!). This cable is about 3 feet long and is very thick. While that may be annoying to people (fighting with the wire) it's very worth it due to the increase in sound quality. With the original cable I felt I'd get radio quality sounds from my phone, but with cable its sounds cd quality. Totally worth the 8 bucks I paid. 5Cable doesn't work with my Bernafon neck loop - probably out of tolerance (fixed)I've had this cable for a couple months, it didn't work when I got it. I blamed it on my hearing aid's neck loop, but I don't think that's the case. I have several 2.5 mm to 3.5 mm cables, I carry one with each of my devices to provide audio into my hearing aid's neck loop. The others are working, so it must be 'this cable'. I just ohmed it out and it checks out fine. The only other thing that seems off is that the 2.5 mm end seems a bit looser than all of the other cables (most from different manufacturer's). I can't seem to find a durable cable, they don't last long when I carry them around in my pockets, a laptop bag, backpack, etc. The usual problem is the cable where it joins the connector. With the 90 degree ends, I thought this might hold up better than the others. However, it didn't work at all.[05/04/2014]Looking at it I noticed a little frayed plastic near the base of the connector. Using a razor knife it was easy to remove. It wasn't much and the fit seems about the same, but it now works. 4The cable seemed to be built ok but I didn't ...The cable seemed to be built ok but I didn't get to use it. I needed the 3.5 mm end to be a 4 pole (3 bands) to use with my Xbox one chat adapter. If you are here looking for that, do yourself a favor and buy the turtle beach cable. It's says for PS4 but it works for Xbox one as well, I am using it now and that works perfectly. 3A Cheap FixThe cable works which is cool, but the connection on the 2.5mm side isnt very good. I find myself having to readjust the connection a couple times every hour on it. This wouldnt be such a big deal, but my primary reason for this cable is to hook up my headset that I use for gaming to my computer so I can talk to my friends on skype. Kinda sucks when in the middle of a mission or match when all of the sudden I cant hear them anymore. I am really glad this cable is out there, and now that I know it works, I may just end up getting an adapter to use with a regular aux cord. Radio Shack sells them in a 4 pack (which stinks) but at least they are pretty good quality. 3
