Customer Reviews

Super stiff. Not entirely black. Still good.My only complaint is to the overly durable construction. Weird to say, but let me explain. The cables were so stiff and not very flexible. I was more worried that I would damage the fan header with the routing rather than the cable itself. I seemed to figure it out by bending at the connectors where the colored wires are visible. That was another letdown. In my build the colors were important. Solid white, red, and black. I expected at this price point and from Noctua that the entirety be one solid black. I was able to hide it away for pictures and out of my sight. Now that no one can see it it is not a big deal.My last complaint is the delay of the fans turning on. It could be because of the split from one header or the header itself being primary for a pump and secondary for fan. May just be that, but I'm not docking any stars.5First class PWM splitter for your fan header! These cables did exactly what they're designed to do. Take one PWM power lead from your motherboard and split it to power two case fans at the matched speed. Noctua makes quite a few high quality products, so their reputation (and recommendation by a friend) led me to purchase these. I'm sure there's somewhere you could get them cheaper but the construction quality is great with sleeved cables and are solid black in color, which ensure they won't clash with your windowed system build no matter what color your RGB gear is blazing. If you need this type of splitter, this is an excellent option. :-)5Good for ITX buldsI was swaying between fan hub or fan splitter and in the end, settled for this, because of limited space. When i tested them, the fan on the three pin connector worked at the same speed, as the fan on the four pin connector. The strange thing i found is that the latter is PWM fan and when i increased its speed, the other fan still worked at the same speed it was working before.Maybe i just didn't quite get how fan splitter works or there's something wrong with cables.4not long enough for the priceThese are great cables, nothing bad I can see about them. They successfully allowed the two 200mm front fans on my h500m CoolerMaster case to be connected and fan speed identified in the UEFI of my z390 board, where the default thin cables from CM did not. This allowed the Fan Tuning to identify the fan's speed, to adjust based on auto cooling parameters.Only reason I knocked it down is they are a little expensive and short. $8 for 4 1/2" cable. I found 10 1/2" cables for about the same price and you get 2 of them. Good firm stress relief as well, braided just like the Noctua. These aren't anything special as far as build quality compared to the others.4Easy to use dual fan controllerThese work great when you only have one or two maybe three motherboard fan controllers on board, it makes it easier to control the fans without having to mess with additional wires or another hub to control all your fans.I like how these are set up and they're easy to use, the y adapter makes it easy to run at least two fans off of one fan controller.5Pro Tip InsideAn important thing to know about these 4 pin splitters is that only one of the Y male sockets is four pin and will control a PWM fan. The other is a three pin. So, you can get power to two fans with one splitter, but only control the speed of one.4Simple and very sturdy to useVery well constructed and the premium feel makes it worth having, simple to use and there are 2 inside the package.Only one end has 4 pins which is what the fan reports its RPM to, the other has 3 pins as the missing one does not report its RPM since its controlled by the other fan.5PerfectWorks like a charm. I'm using this for my MSI Frozr L CPU cooler, bought it so I could buy another Torx fan from MSI so I could have my CPU in a push/pull configuration and be able to have both fans running at the same speed, rather than one connected for the CPU and one in a Chassis fan slot. Very good product.5Great Y-Cable for Fan ControlThis Y-cable works great with two horizontally mounted Corsair ML120 Pro fans. I originally didn't think I'd need a Y-cable at all, as I was going to reuse the same two slots on a 5.25" fan controller I have, but that couldn't quite get the ML120 as quiet as I wanted, so I used the mobo pin and options for that instead. That did the trick, except I realized I needed a second fan_ext slot available before getting the second fan, so the Y-cable was a quick and easy fix.As others have mentioned, the cable quality is quite good. While a portion of it doesn't bend that well, I was still able to carefully bend it around to where I needed the two ends, but just made note of that in case I ever use the second cable for anything.5Perfect for single mobo 4 pin fan splitGuess I didn't fully read the product spec, comes with 2 adapter cables per box, not one. But that's fine, gives me another Y splitter in case I add more fans. Very neat construction, adapter cable is cleanly braided and just the right length. Used for going mobo 4 pin case fan header to 3 pin Noctua fans. Got this after a modder recommend off Dell's forums when I was dealing with excessive cheap case fan noise.5
