Customer Reviews

This happened I assume because the strap is of poor quality. I wrote the seller and requested a ...Warning do not buy this product. I received the item almost 90 days before having an opportunity to use it. I used it on a recent vacation. I used it one time the first day of vacation and within two hours of having my new camera attached to it the strap literally broke - the sewing came undone and it was unusable. I had to carry the camera around the entire week without a strap. This happened I assume because the strap is of poor quality. I wrote the seller and requested a refund. They told me that because it was after the return window the only thing they would do was replace it. That was a less than satisfactory response because I anticipated the same poor quality with the replacement. I am thankful that an Amazon customer service rep was far more reasonable and refunded my money. I will never buy from this seller (Movo) again. Here is the response they sent me. Terrible!!!"Thanks for your message, I apologize for your negative experience. We can extend a warranty replacement of the item at this point but this purchase is almost 3 months old. I am sorry that I can't offer the resolution you are seeking. Let me know if you have an interest in replacement.Best,Jason-Movo"1A non-slip strap that slips worse than any other strap I've owned. As a photographer with over 35 years experience, I've used a lot of straps.I know how to double tuck the strap into the buckle so that the camera will not slip and I have had straps last for years without the buckle moving. This strap has slick strapping where it connects to the camera, making the buckles slip very, very easily, even though it's advertised as "non-slip". I'm not sure where on the strap this is referencing, but it's not the small straps that connect the camera. The buckles are also too big for the strapping material used.BAD design. BAD quality control.Thankfully, I spotted the buckle slipping free and caught the $2200 Nikon. So, I have tossed this strap for one that actually doesn't slip.2Overall a Good Strap but Needs some improvementI carry a full-sized pro outfit (Canon1D and L-Series glass) on this strap. Length is good and quality of materials is good. It holds my camera...what else can I say.2 simple changes would make it a 5-star review. 1. Reverse the clips holding the camera attachments to the strap (M/F on one side F/M on the other) so that when the camera is disconnected from the strap, the two loose swinging ends can be clipped together to create a short strap. 2. Actually use a piece of non-slip material on the bottom of the strap where it sits on the shoulder rather than the cheap piece of slippery plastic sewn onto the neoprene. What's under there is worthless for holding the strap on your shoulder.Fix those two things and you've got yourself a 5-star quality camera strap. A good start, overall.4Don't Buy!When I purchased this strap, I really liked for about 5 months. Then I went to SE Asia, this strap is hot, I mean really hot. It also absorbs sweat, so it is always damp. Then last month, in Las Vegas the strap broke. I very luckily caught the camera before it fell to the ground. I have Fujifilm XT-10, with the 16-50mm lens, battery and SD card only weighs 20 ounces. A one and quarter pound camera is light, most DSLRs are much heavier! I email them, explain the breakage. Then say take a pic and email that to us. They refuse to refund money and want me to send the broken strap back at my expense. I will not use this replacement strap. I don't trust this strap! Buy another brand of strap!1A very good quality strap that does its job well. Comfortable and secure, tooI bought this to help me carry a new JVC GY-HM600 video camera.I specifically purchased it because of the padded shoulder strap and long length. As the photos show, the strap came in a long, narrow plastic bag and arrived in great condition.Like many camera straps, it attaches to the camera by looping the thin part of the strap through the camera ring then feeding it through a small buckle to both adjust for length and to ensure the strap doesn't slip. Other than the small, square plastic sliders that I couldn't reattach to the strap (unnecessary except for tidiness), the strap seems securely attached to the camera.Quality of the nylon straps and the plastic buckles seem appropriate for the price. The thick strap attaches/detaches from the narrower lower strap with a "squeeze-push in- click" buckle on each end. These appear tough enough to last for several years. The padding is adequate for this admittedly light camera and I can see this strap lasting for a long time.PROs-Padded shoulder-Good quality-Easy to attach-SecureCONsNoneNEUTRAL-Little plastic sliders are too hard to reinstall, but they're only there for tidiness and are ultimately not neededSUMMARYA pretty good strap at a pretty good price. Not the finest camera strap ever to be sold- but for the price, it's a very good value.5This strap puts your camera at risk!I own the older version of this strap. It was great! The newer version of this strap slips and risks dropping your expensive camera and lens on the ground or into a lake. The older strap had a thicker and wider webbing at the point where it loops around the camera anchor point. The buckle on the older strap is shorter and thicker combined with a thicker and wider strap. The newer strap can easily loosen allowing the end of the web to come completely out of the buckle as it no longer wraps around the anchor point on the camera. The older thicker webbing combined with the shorter thicker buckle makes it almost impossible for the webbing to come loose like the new one. Don't risk your equipment by using this poorly designed strap!1PLASTIC BRACKETS BREAK!It smelled funny at first. After aired out over a month it got better. THEN almost a year in, the plastic bracket broken on me at a baseball game. Thank god I was half holding my 7D and 70-200 lens. NEVER buy this. I'm looking for something with metal brackets.1Liked it at first, don't like it nowFirst impressions are this is a nice, well built comfortable strap. However, there are two things that will become apparent with use - 1) the nylon straps that feed through the buckles and adjust the length, etc, are too small for the buckle, making it impossible to keep the buckles on both sides from sliding up and down. If you even bump them, the length will change, and 2) because of this, it's easy to not notice when the strap is losing too much in the buckle and then...bang, your camera falls to the ground. You can band-aid this problem by reversing the way you feed the straps through the buckle, and then feed the loose end of the strap BACK down through the buckle in order to "lock" the strap better, but you shouldn't have to.2Very comfortable, great quality at an amazing priceSo... this strap is cheap. But I'm not talking about quality, I'm talking about price. This is the most comfortable neck strap I've ever used, with only my harness being as comfortable. The padded piece is well padded but flexible, and has an elastic strap backing sewed to it to keep it slightly "bunched" so it retains comfort. The clips are well made, and the connecting fabric is well sewed. The ends of the straps (the part you insert through the camera loops) were well sealed so they don't unravel or fray, and the quick disconnects, while easy to use, still feel well built and sturdy. The strap has 4 adjustment points (two at the clips, and two at the camera end of the strap) allowing a lot of adjustment range. There are also two hooks at the padded strap ends, which could theoretically be used to connect to a harness, or could be used to strap lens caps or other small things to.All in all, I'd say that even at twice the current price, this would be a great buy!ONE NOTE: another reviewer mentions that he had to trim the straps a bit to fit into his camera hooks - I have a Nikon d90 and did not. It was a kinda tight fit, but all I had to do was align the strap perfectly even, and it slipped right in. At any sort of an angle, it didn't fit. As soon as I realized that (on the first side), the second strap went in, in only a second - I simply lined up and pushed it right through.EDIT:2014-04-26: I am liking this one so much better than the stock straps, that I ordered another one for my second camera.EDIT 2:2018-08-08: I loved this so much, that I bought one for my best friend who got me into photography.EDIT 3:2018-09-14: I got a new camera and am keeping my D7100 as my backup, so, I got YET ANOTHER of these. I love them so much. I tried another strap from someone else, but nothing compares to how comfy and almost "not there" this strap feels. The others, with super thick padding, feel heavy on my neck, while this feels comfy and light, even with the weight of a heavy D850 and Sigma ART lens.5No grip securityI put this on my D800, I like the padded attached to it.make it feel comfortable to carry.but, few minutes after I was using my camera... huhuhuhu, my strap came off from the hook. I dropped my camera...good thing it drop on the bag I had lay flat on the ground. I m not using it and not trusting it anymore.. the grip is not secure enough.1
