Customer Reviews

Tricky but once you get it down its better than the included plastic puller with my keyboard.Got to admit at first I hated this thing. I have a CM Tenkeyless quickfire cherry mx blue switch keyboard, which I love by the way. It comes with a plastic key puller so I didn't even need this. However with the plastic puller you have to pull it in the dead center to pull evenly which is annoying. This is where I started to try to use this tool. So here is my advice to make the best use of this keycap puller. First (1) bend the wire apart till it almost slides over the top of the letter keys. Since they are angled the wire will open as you push down. 2) Once it bottoms out slightly twist so wire puller attaches to the diagonal corners. 3) Pull, now you can replace key or insert o-ring or whatever your intention is. This became a really quick nifty tool once I figured out the trick.By the way if you are looking for good O-rings without breaking the bank I found the following to be great for under 5 dollars:008 Buna-N O-Ring, 70A Durometer, Black, 3/16" ID, 5/16" OD, 1/16" Width (Pack of 100)5Works great on Ducky Shine 5I'm not sure what there is to say about a key cap remover. It works fine and seems to be of great build quality as I've not had any durability issues with it either. You will need to open up the wires a little to grab some longer key caps like SHIFT and NUMPAD0 but it doesn't affect how well it grasps key caps. You can even grab multiple regular sized key caps before removing them from the tool.5Sturdy compared to other keycap pullers.Sturdy compared to other keycap pullers. Easy to use. My only complaint is it wasn't available on prime.5Works Perfectly WellI had no problems at all taking out my mechanical keys on my keyboard. However, I feel the product is $2 or $3 overpriced for such a small and flimsy tool. Maybe two of these in one package would compensate for the original price, especially since it can be lost easily.4Works wellI had previously used a circle keycap puller with my keyboard, but had misplaced it. I purchased this as a replacement. It does its job, but it a bit awkward to get around some of the larger keys--it does its job, but just needs to be bent out before grabbing keys.4A wire puller for taking meticulous care of your mechanical keyboard...It's a $6 keycap puller for your mechanical keyboard keycaps. It's a wire puller so it also doesn't damage your keys. Much better than your plastic keycap hook pullers.Massdrop on occasion will sell those fancier NPKC stainless steel keycap pullers for those of you keyboard enthusiasts with the fancy preferences, but to me, the plastic just feels better. It's comfortable to wield, and doesn't get cold or grimy with sweat. There's also the WASD keycap puller, and the quite wide Ducky keycap puller, but for all intents and purposes this does the same exact thing and feels that way too. This was the cheapest I could find, and I like it.5One Solid Keyboard Keycap Removal ToolI recently purchased a Das Keyboard Model S Ultimate Mechanical Keyboard for use at my office and am awaiting the Cherry MX Rubber O-Ring Switch Dampeners Blue 40A-R - 0.4mm Reduction (125pcs) which are scheduled for delivery tommorow. I received my "Mechanical Keyboard Wire Keycap Puller Tool" yesterday. The keycap puller has a firm plastic handle with two looped wire pieces projecting from the frame. When you use the tool you gently seperate the two wire loops and slide them over your key of choice. Once they drop below the edge of the key, gently pull up and tada, your key is seperated from your cherry-mx or other key switch. To put the key back on you gently press it back down onto the key switch ensuring that it is orientated correctly for the keyboard. The keycap puller has a very simple, stable, sturdy design that is sure to meet your keycap pulling needs. It tucks away neatly in your pen carriage of your desk or in your pocket if you regularly pull key caps off. It even has a hole that a key-chain ring or lanyard can attach to. It is well worth the small cost to own that is charged.5Best tool (so far) for pulling keycaps. It's well built and will last a long time, and does its job as designed, making it very easy to pull any keycaps off your keyboards. My one complaint is that you need to manually pull/push apart the tongs to be able to first fit them around a given key. It should be possible to design a keycap tool that only requires one hand.Still worth the small amount of money, and worth the 5 stars since it's as advertised and as pictured.5It's a keyboard PullerI needed another one because the ones I bought previously seemed to develop legs and walk off in search of a better life pulling genuine IBM Model M keys and not the knock-offs I've been subjecting it to.Is it good. Meh. It does the job. How badly could it fail for $5?4Keycap PullerWhen I lost the keycap puller that came with my Ducky Shine 5, I thought I was in serious trouble. I contemplated buying a replacement, but wasn't crazy about the cost or my projected wait time for shipping and receipt. I decided to try this little number instead with great success. The key puller slid under the keys with ease and pulling the caps off was totally effortless. No damage, no difficulty. Exactly what I was looking for, and at a very reasonable price.5
