Customer Reviews

What size arbor? It s a pretty blue hole saw. It would probably work if i knew what size arbor to use.2The most amazing value and long life, are a hallmark for a quality product.I have a Makita handyman set of hole saws that I bought at Costco in 1993, and have used them for every remodel project, and hole saw need for years! My wife, laughing at how long it took me to cut a hole for cords and cabling through our hi-fi cabinetry, bought me a set of Lenox hole saws from Lowe's, and exclaimed that these are to stay at home, and not go to my workshop here at the bar/restaurant that I maintain for 17 years. Well....I was looking around and here are the replacement sizes for my favorite Makita set!!! Reasonable prices, ans super fast shipping made me the king of my castle, in my mind, for maintaining my own working tools, instead of buying a whole new set of Milwaukee, Lenox, Dewalt...or others. These hole saws have been absolutely awesome in their performance and since the set only cost me $13.99 that day at Costco, I know that this set has paid for itself so many over, that I would call this a no-brainer in value!!! I don't know where they are made, nor by whom, but when it comes to making holes...this is my absolute go-to favorite set of Makita hole saws!!!! Thank you Amazon for helping me to help others! Scott M. Koeller in Anchorage.5ImpressiveThis hole saw is worth every penny and then some.I drilled 6 holes from 3/4" thick bars of 6061 aluminum with this hole saw (3/4" thick metal!) and the teeth are still perfectly sharp. The first time this drilling caused so much torque because of inadequate lubrication that it snapped my arbor, and had to buy a better arbor. The hole saw was stuck in the overheated aluminum workpiece, which I had to quench in water to remove the holesaw. The hole saw was fine. I used plenty of lubrication at 250rpm for the next 5 parts. I then put a bunch of holes in plywood. For another project. After all of this, all the paint (powder coat) is gone from the business end half of the hole saw, leaving shiny steel, and all of the teeth are _very_ sharp, ready for more abuse. I am impressed.Note:A 2 5/8" hole saw cuts a hole that will fit a beer or soda perfectly (except Coors, which is about 4.5 percent slimmer). Makes for and excellent can insulator if you stack enough wood.5Five Starsvery good5good productworks fine4high qualityQuality tool. Made several holes in metal and still sharp.5Five Starso/k5Good for fire alarmGood saw5It brokeI was pleased to find that it was made in the USA. Too bad though, as this self destructed on the first use. The weld that bonds the teeth to the cup failed and a huge patch of teeth flew off. I was using it on cheap, soft sheet metal at 800rpms.2LONG LASTING< STAYS SHARP> GREAT PRICE !stays sharp after numerous uses, I own a 3 inch that has never been sharpened after over 25 years of use. I believe I got my moneys worth from that purchase.5
