Customer Reviews

Missing parts -- No goodNo USB hub. I really needed the product to meet a deadline and now I am stuck. The items appear to be OK quality but my kit had no USB hub so I can't use it at all. This is a big mistake so I would go with another company if I were you. Price is nothing if 1/8 of your kit doesn't arrive. 1Exactly what I neededI have a few RPI's laying around my place. I always seem to be switching out one SD card for the other and constantly looking for my micro USB to USB adapters etc. as another reviewer stated, the cost of buying all these items needed for the PI separately although not expensive, isn't as cost efficient as the actual PI is itself. So this package is exactly what I need for new little projects etc and was decent quality. So far so good, 10/10 5It's OK, but HDMI adapter may not work...Everything came as promised, but the mini HDMI to HDMI adapter would not work when plugged in. I found that the male connector of all of the cables I have were too long and didn't make contact with all of the pins in the adapter. Other than that everything else worked. To fix the adapter I drilled out the HDMI side 1/8" deeper so that the cables would seat correctly. 3Good accessories, WiFi dongle DOA, but they replaced itThe case came with holes drilled, so it seems that the issue other commenters were concerned about has been fixed. However, I was not able to get the WiFi dongle to work. It was recognized when I did lsusb, but in the GUI it said no interfaces connected. I swapped in another dongle (another Realtek variant) that I had on a RP2 I run retropie on and it worked right away. I tried the original dongle in my working RetroPie and it is now bricked. Not 100% sure if that's related and more troubleshooting is needed there, but it's pretty clear at this point that the dongle does not work either way.Edit- So the RetroPie is working again. It was the "White Screen of Death" that was fixed by changing the theme in Emulation Station. Not sure why it decided to lock up right as I changed the hardware, but whatever. Still can't get the dongle to work right.Post-New-WiFi-Edit- So contacted the seller and they replaced the WiFi dongle without any issue. Good customer service! 5Everything Needed to Start with a Pi-ZeroEverything I needed to get my Pi-zero working. The OTG USB-Hub is especially nice. The network dongle is based on a Realtek chip set (RTL8188CUS) which is recognized by Raspbian out of the box. However the Raspbian driver is buggy and will not recover from a sleep causing the network connection to eventually be lost. There are several fixes that can be found online for this problem. Not an issue for the new Pi-zero W which has wifi built-in. All-in-all a good value. 5Not the latest version of NOOBSGot this yesterday (4/6/2017) and tested out the USB OTG HUB, Micro SD Card & HDMI Adapter so far. They all work, except the Micro SD Card has NOOBS v1.9 - built: Mar 18 2016. Shouldn't this have the latest? NOOBS Offline and network install Version: 2.3.0 Release date: 2017-03-03? 3Perfect Pi 0 Starter KitIf youre getting a pi zero, go ahead and grab one of these. The parts seperate cost aroubd 4x as much in store. The wifi dongle is plug and play, so no drivers, just automatically detected. Sd card comes with noobs installed, which is a nice touch. Pins to work with any project, and an accommodating case with a pin read out on top for quick reference. Along with HDMI and otg to usb splitter, makes this the perfect starter kit for the pi zero. 5Decent set of accessories for your Pi ZeroI bought this for the SD card, wifi adapter, mini-HDMI adapter, and the micro-USB hub. All those seem to work well. The hub and wifi adapter feel a bit cheap, but they work fine. The wifi adapter supports AP mode. People are complaining about the case, but I have my own, so I can't comment on that, but it may be a concern for you, but $15 for the components I needed it for was quite fair. 5Awesome Raspberry Pi Zero parts kitThis would have been a 4 star rating if it weren't for MakerSpot's customer service. The kit I received was perfect except for the case. It did not have the bolt holes pre drilled. I let them know that I drilled them myself just so they'd know about it. The sent me a replacement case very very quickly from China. I believe I got it in 5 or 6 days. The new one fits perfectly. The kit is a great deal when it's available since it has everything you need to use your Raspberry Pi Zero. I'm looking forward to seeing them back in stock so I can order another one or two. 5Missing drilled holes to put case together.Kit has a bunch of good stuff in it. It's pictured as having holes drilled to screw the case on, it doesn't. Makes it kind of pointless 2
