Fantastic for drilling holes in Hardie siding After spending 30 minutes attempting (and failing) to drill a single hole in Hardie siding with a bi-metal hole saw and destroying the motor on one drill due to overheating I decided to order a carbide tipped hole saw to see if it worked better. I was able to drill all 8 holes I needed with this hole saw in less than 10 seconds time each without any noticeable wear on the bit. If you are looking to get through Hardie this hole saw is fantastic and I wish I could get the time back that I wasted with useless bi-metal bits the other day. 5Excellent Product I had to cut a hole through stucco, and this hole saw worked well. You will need a different style for cutting through the plywood or OSB on the inside of the structure; then use this one for the rest of the cut. 5It's a decent hole saw It works. It's not the fastest hole saw in the world at getting through brick, but it's a decent price and decent quality. It cuts through sheetrock very easily and fairly cleanly. Unless the one you get is a lemon, it should last reasonably well if properly taken care of. Run it slowly and use plenty of water to keep it cool and remove dust. Insert your arbor properly. Never use hammer-drill mode. 4Does not cut like butter but we are also drilling them into the ... Purchased to install some Lemonbest LED recessed lights in an outdoor patio. Does not cut like butter but we are also drilling them into the ceiling so not as easy as in a wall or floor. When trying the hammer drill function the two metal clips snapped off but think you are only supposed to use drill mode. Was perfect for our application as we are needing to drill over 30 holes (I ordered two). 4Very good item If you re drilling holes in ceilings and walls that are made of plaster or the old plaster and laft , this saw is the one to use. 5One Star Terrible. I couldn t even drill one hole through stucco without it stripping out the arbor 1works I've owned many circular saws for cutting through stucco. This is the only one I'd recommend. 5The hole saw got dull and trashed Cut 2 holes in stucco and by the 3 one it was done. The hole saw got dull and trashed. Not good at all. 1For cement board/drywall applications, this product is low cost, durable, and fast (compared to b-metal) Great price compared to similar carbide grit hole saws offered from other companies. Extremely durable when used on drywall/cement board type material. Have drilled about a dozen holes in drywall layer and cement board layer (double layer) and there is no visible sign of any wear on the teeth. Previously used Milwaukee bi-metal hole saw which wore out after going thru about three holes of same material. The Carbide Grit teeth also cut thru drywall/cement board material in a quarter of the time that the bi-metal teeth would take. 5IT WORKS It works exactly the way it's supposed to. Nice and durable. No complaints. 5
