Customer Reviews

4 Stars happy customers!I don't know why my macbook retina screen (without the Screen Protector) attract with dust very easily, i can see some "dust bubbles" (which is dust goes together and will not go away unless i put force when cleaning with a fiber) and it annoys me so much. Theres why i thinking of buying a screen protector for my screen.4 Stars. Pros:-its kind of invisible after putting it on, i install my screen very badly, there is bubble, dust, whatever on my screen (that is my fault for not cleaning the screen completely before putting it on) BUT i cannot see those when the screen is turn on(at 50% brightness at least).- there is a lot of tools comes with it (although not all of them are well explained how to properly use it)- Yes, it is fingerprint resistant , better than the macbook screen and can easily wipe out if you did manage to put fingerprint on the screen protector***- I like this part the most, I have a TPU keyboard skin on my macbook, and there will be weird marking of the keyboard (squares of the keyboard layout...you can imagine ...) on the screen and it is almost impossible to put that away. With the screen protector on, the problems gone. the old markings are also disappear. (Don't know if its because of the screen protectors, or the cleaning process takes away the old markings.)CONS:- its not really a bad side of this product, just its soooooo difficult to install. I mean its not a phone that you can lay on the table, you have to watch out if it flips over and things like that.4Excellent Protector for the value, don't listen to the 1 Star folks!!!! I just got the package today. Installation was fairly easy and simple. I don't know why other reviewers complained that the clarity of the screen was hindered as a result of this screen protector. u can barely notice that its even on. Its a perfect fit and i didn't get any bubbles except one tiny one on an edge that i pushed out immediately. Quality is great. Resolution is clear like theres nothing there. It is quite fingerprint resistant, i was touching the screen and it didn't really smudge. only complaint is that it came in a huge box full of air cushions when it could've been sent in something smaller or slimmer. other than that i love it! don't hesitate. BUY IT!!! 5Took a few tries, finally got it right, so far so good. Patience needed!I received an email from Lention when my package arrived. They reiterated how important it was to read their installation instructions and included a youtube link. They also mentioned they have a 30 day money back guarantee and offered much as far as ensuring customer satisfaction, so that was nice.As for the product I admit it took quite a few tries to get the protector film exactly fitted on my macbook pro retina's screen. I did follow the instructions, ensured my screen was flawlessly clean, and the film did fit nicely. However even if it is slightly off center it will ride up the corner of the screen and an air bubble will ensue. So like I said, after a few tries I finally got it centered correctly. The protector never lost its adhsesiveness and was quite flexible to my attempts at fitting.Ive only had it for a day now so I cannot comment on how well it will perform in the long run, but it thus far seems like a good investment. It is made of a thin, plastic composite with a sticky (yet not tacky) side that easily sticks to the screen. Just make sure you follow their directions, and that your screen is as clean as possible. Overall its a sold 4 star product.4don't listen to bad reviews this product is a GO!Lets keep it real here no fake shhhthe protector is a thin piece of plastic like those cheap ones you buy for your phone screens if you don't want to invest in a ZAGG quality protector.and it will definitely be reflective if your display settings are on low light, but once you turn up your brightness a bit you won't even notice its there.so the reflectiveness shouldn't keep you from buying, i just applied it 5 mins ago and i like it for the price i can't complain.now i don't have to worry bout my screen getting any scratches due to dust, dirt etc..this is a must have especially if your mac is new like mine ya dig.i just got the retina pro 13 i want it to last.now for the appliance part, as soon as i placed it on the screen it sucked up on it immediately!!i was lucky that i placed it perfectly ! so I'm stoked about thatminor bubbles, i took them out in less than 2 mins.overall must have, definitely purchase don't think twicey'all spend $10.00 on other dumb shhhhthis is a good $10 spent no complains..and for the people leaving bad reviews quit lying this product is great gets the job doney'all just don't know how to apply screen protectors5Very clear, perfect fit, easy installment, perfectionI needed a new screen protector since the first one I bought didn't fit and since I trimmed that one and messed up, it made my screen look ugly hahah but I just decided to buy this cause I can't stand uneven or oddly stuff like that. This came packed in between two very thick cardboards which is very nice because it won't get damaged in shipping or anything so I thought that was nice. The screen protector is actually very clear and it fits perfectly on my 2015 macbook pro, the camera cut out is just a perfect slot too just pure perfectioN hahah (yeah I'm a perfectionist). It was very easy to install, I recommend peeling the top off first, sticking the top then slowly removing the #1 sticker from the bottom then it'll jjst nicely and smoothly fall into place. It comes with this blue sticker thing thst removes lint very nicely. Don't use the lint rag it comes it, I find it attracts even more dust which is weird but I'd say use the blue sticker thing and just go around the screen and stick it here an there and it'll remove every little lint or dust spectacle.Really recommended, it's very nice and clear; wOrth the price. My screen looks much better and perfected now. The screen actually looks more shinier and just glossy but it doesn't impact the image quality what's so ever.5Ruined my Retina screenThis product sucks. Could not be worse. I put it on, and it reflected light like a mirror, you can barely see into the retina display. So I bought another anti-glare screen from another seller. When I removed the LENTION screen, it had ruined my Macbook retina display!!! I am pissed. There are these little bright spaces where it appears to have removed some of the layers of my screen. I dont usually write Amazon reviews, but I didnt see any reviews that mentioned their screens being ruined... WATCH OUT! Do NOT buy this product you will ruin your expensive computer!! Scratches would have been better than this ruined screen.1No bubbles, love the material!Nice thick material, helped eliminate the bubbles. I got the retail package which came with plenty of sticky pieces of tape that allow application and micro-fiber cloth for cleaning. Everything worked as expected. 99.999% bubble free (nothing visible to my naked eye) application in 7 minutes!NOTES: Lots of people complain about bubbles (this goes for ALL screen protectors). My suggestion please take the time to understand the process of bubble free application (or pay a teenager $2 to you apply it for you). I am writing a section on my technique of how to achieve bubble free application below. Hope somebody will find it useful.STEPS FOR BUBBLE FREE APPLICATION1. Understand what causes bubbles. Two things -- dirt (see step 3), and air (see step 7).2. Start with several 1-1.5 inch of clear tape cut into pieces, I suggest about 5-6. This is included with several pricey version of the screen protectors, otherwise you can use any clear tape. Cut them before you go to next step, and have them ready by sticking them on a piece of wood or metal that you can easily access.3. Start by cleaning the screen surface with micro-fiber cloth, or you can use an old cotton piece of cloth that has been washed. Do not use paper towel. Goal here is to avoid the fuzz. You can use 1 drop of water (on cloth) to reduce static that attracts dirt. Be careful not to pour water into the sides of the screen!4. WITHOUT taking any layers off, position your screen protector to your satisfaction. Now using cut piece of tape (from Step 2), hold the protector in place such that half the piece of tape is on the protector and half on your laptop edge. Use 2 or 3 pieces (ONLY on one side), so that you can swing the protector like opening a door.5. Swing the protector away from screen. Clean the screen again to remove all visible pieces of dirt (don't work too hard). Apparently, rubbing causes static and pulls airborne dirt towards the screen.6. Now take the layer 1 off the screen protector (this is between your laptop and the protector) while the screen protector is opened like a door.7. Starting from applying the protector from side with temporary pieces of tape (see step 4 above) gently apply the protector to laptop screen. It should self stick, if you position it correctly. Move slowly. I recommend going at speed of about 2 seconds/inch. THE GOAL her is not let any air-pockets be created. If you do get trapped air or bubbles, pull back 1 or 2 inches of protector and apply again slowly.8. Depending upon your patience level in last step, your environment, and the quality of screen material -- you will have some bubbles. I get about 1 small bubbles per 10-20 sq. inches at this stage.9. If it is pure air-pockets towards edges, you are press with a credit card and they should go away. IF you have large air pockets, then I recommend going back and repeat step 7, and remove only half or more of the screen protector to remove the bubbles.10. Now you can take the second layer of plastic off (layer 2) and this should remove the pieces of tape applied in step 4. You can remove the piece of tape from laptop now or later.- You should now have a satisfactorily positioned screen, with no air-pockets but may be small bubbles due to dirt --11. For removing pieces of hair/dirt (or fuzz, bread crumbs, silver, gold etc.), you need to use a small piece of tape on closest corner to lift the protector, and another piece of tape on other hand to reach the hair. Be patient and think of your happy childhood memories, and it will work.12. Gently release the screen protector like Step 7 and things will work.13. Enjoy your new screen protector! If these steps do not give expected results, I can say there can be at least three causes (in addition to thousands others).ONE: There is too much dirt in the room, or your screen and or screen protector is charged to attract dirt. Gentle cleaning with 1 drop of water (step 3) reduces static charge for me.TWO: The quality of protector is not good or thick enough :(THREE: You need more practice (sorry this is true, I use to think it was the problem with screen protector till my friend showed me and since then I am doing well).5Great option to consider I just received and install the LENTION screen protector for my MacBook Pro Retina Display 13". The process of installation was pretty easy although I do have previous experience installing ZAGG Invisible Shields (from Original to GLASS). This screen protector fits the whole screen (be sure you're selecting the correct one for your MacBook). The only thing that got me kind of worried is the "retina display anti-reflective coating", is not there anymore. :( 5Probably would have been amazing. But I goofed on putting it on correctly ...So I at first didn't put on the screen protector very well. I will admit I was a bit hasty in putting it on. But still I figured I could do it right with the instruction. I was wrong...lol. Well, I ended up throwing it away and saying I would just buy another one and be more careful. Well, time got away from me. I received an e-mail from there customer service department asking if they could send me another one to try? Also, they directed me to a link on YouTube to watch that will help me put on the screen. "I said sure why not?". In a few days I received my dew screen protector. I watched the video and took some extra time to be careful and well, the screen protecter looks great!! I can't even tell it is on at this moment! I am in a well light room and I see no glare of any bubbles at all!! I am completely turned around on my opinion of this product. Also I work in customer service and any company that takes the time to change a customers opinion of a product is a difficult path. So I am glad to say GREAT PRODUCT AND GREAT COMPANY.5Great, solid product.Just applied this to my 13" MacBook Pro with Retina (early 2015). Precise fit on the screen, leaving absolutely no gap. The application was as easy as any screen protector - as long as you are patient and meticulous, it will go on smoothly. I did need to use a credit card as a squeegee to gently work some bubbles out, which is pretty par for the course with these things. The protector itself is clear, didn't change the colour or light performance of my retina display, and is quite heavy duty. Its overall gloss accurately mimics the original MacBook screen so it looks like it isn't even there.5Average for my rmbp 2015, seeking alternatives to replace in the near futureI use this screen protector for my rmbp 2015 and while the installation is standard with regards to how other screen protectors are installed, the process seemed a bit more tedious this time around. I noticed it was quite a lint and bubble magnet even in sufficient conditions while installing (i.e steamed roomed). After using the screen for about a 2 weeks, a section of my screen seems filled with lint which was not there during installation. I'm positive it isn't in the inside of the screen and yet it isn't removable on the outside. I have no idea why it looks like that. I've used screen protectors for all my mbp's and mobile devices for years and this is the first time I've encountered something like that. It isn't the worst thing in the world, but definitely an annoyance and a distraction to my otherwise beautiful screen. I'm probably going to replace this protector with a glass one in the near future. I should have bought one in the first place instead of looking for a cheaper alternative.3Clear picture; not hard to install.I installed this using advice I was given years ago for phone screens -- install the screen in a steamy bathroom. It worked well, and I have zero bubbles on the screen. I did have to smooth out air bubbles, but that was easy to do. The screen looks just as crisp as without the protector. I see no reduction in picture quality. So, the steamy bathroom thing... In all seriousness, if the humidity is high enough, less dust is floating around to stick to your screen protector when you open it. I'll run a hot shower and leave it going until the bathroom mirrors fog and it's like a sauna. Only then do I open the screen protector. My experience, for what it's worth, has been that doing this makes it much less hassle to install without spending a long time going back to remove dust bubbles.4
