Soild buyUsed this in my HP Pavilion 17 series (e110) to help it stump along until I replace it, and it fit nicely, and has worked perfectly for about 2 months of reasonably vigorous use. I've used other brands in other machines, but Kingston is a bit of a gold standard in my book, so the fact that I have nothing interesting to say here is no surprise to me. "Would buy again," except that now this machine's memory slots are full, so I'll likely buy something else next time, but whatever it is, it'll be Kingston.5Inexpensive, yet quality upgrade for HP 2000-2b24NR laptopI purchased the HP 2000-2b24NR 15.6" Notebook PC which came with 4GB of this same memory installed. (I checked the part number prior to purchasing more memory to make sure it was compatible.) To max out the memory on the laptop I ordered this memory for the second DIMM.Easily installed, the laptop recognized the Kingston Value RAM 4GB immediately. As it's identical to the factory installed part which leads me to belive the two will exist harmoniously in this laptop for years to come.I have used other Kingston Value memory in the past, and will continue to do so as (knock on wood) I've never had a dud and they're always priced right.5Add 4BG to The 4GB you haveIf you bought a laptop or notebook that came with 4Gb in one slot, instead of the 4GB ones that use 2- 2GBs to make 4GBs, this is great ez upgrade to end up with 8gb total. many pcs end up making you replace both sticks to get up to 8gbs. Always look inside or check the specs online, so many types of memory right now, 8500, 1066, 1333 and PC1600. Anyway bought a new hp laptop for wife for xmas and it had 1 stick, 4gb pc1600, so now she has 8gbs(2 sticks), or the max her system can handle. another thing to look for when getting a new pc is that you want 10/100/1000 internet adapter, still there is many 10/100/mpbs, or what i call the old standdard. many new good pcs have the 10/100/1000mpbs and will take 16 to 32 gigs of memory. enjoy your performance upgrade. upgrading memory is ez.5This memory seems to work just fine in a Synology DS1515!This memory seems to work just fine in my Synology DS1515. I would have purchased the Synology brand memory, but this was not only about 1/5th the price, but also and most importantly... it was AVAILABLE! I put this in the 1515 and then ran the memory check that is found in the Synology assistant a few times. It seems to be working fine and the memory seems to be used by the system. I have not noticed any problems with the NAS or with Crashplan running on it.4High quality, high functioning memoryAuthentic memory. Arrived in sealed new container. Computer runs twice as fast now. I'll update this if anything changes.Be aware with RAM you'll want to closely match what you have. If you get a slower speed of ram, yes it will work. But your computer will slow down the other slot to equalize it.Please use crucial memory scanner to verify what you have already. I'd advise physically verifying too. Besides you're gonna open it up anyway why not practice. This was for a newer Dell inspiron 15. The bottom cover was extremely difficult to remove from the laptop the first time. Always check youtube first for video instructions. This is easy for most people to install!Very trustworthy brand. Never buy generic.5Here's why this is awesome: I did a crucial scan on a friends ...Here's why this is awesome: I did a crucial scan on a friends computer. The scan showed me what I dreaded reading - 2 slots, both in use and 1 slot had a 2 gig stick which is absolutely pointless with Windows 10. Also, the laptop is 3 years old. So, crucials options were overpriced no matter what I did.Looked up Kingston on Amazon. It costs 2/3rds as much and since the upgrade was only 2 gigs I was actually okay with it.4Great for Synology DS1515+ NASI bought this to upgrade the memory in my Synology DS1515+ NAS, it worked perfectly to extend it to 6 GB (2GB onboard). No problems, installed super easy and worked without any issues.5What I Needed!I found it very helpful to see that someone with my exact computer had purchased and installed this RAM successfully, so I'll post the same.I replaced the 2x2GB RAM with 2 of these memory sticks in my MacBook Pro, Mid-2012 model (2.5GHz Intel Core i5). The installation process is simple enough but I did not replace the memory myself (why risk it when the student help desk can do it with experience for free?). If you'll do it yourself I would recommend that you keep track of where the screws came from, though - apparently some of them are different sizes than the others sometimes.Everything seemed to work when I powered it back up after the installation, though I did have to reboot again before it could find my campus WiFi and connect up automatically. Since then smooth sailing! As a graduate student I tend to desire between 4-8 apps open at a time over three "desktops" and 4GB of RAM just wasn't enough. I've only got 4 apps open now but it's already clear that menu and program start-up times are much better, and even basic things like searching for a file or opening a massive folder in Finder.I'll certainly update my review if I have any issues pop up but so far these improvements make this purchase totally worth it!5PerfectI purchased one (and only one) module to upgrade my ThinkPad T430 from 4GB to 8GB and I am super-happy with what I got. So let's do it by paragraphs.PACKAGING: comes in well protected in a plastic case with a see-thru top. Was easy to take it out.INSTALLATION: fit right in, took literally seconds. The manual (it's a leaflet) reminds us to remove the battery before upgrading. Good advice.COMPATIBILITY: like I said, I only bought one module and it matches perfectly with the other 4GB that's made by someone else.PERFORMANCE: running the 'Windows Experience' benchmark (Windows 7, 64-bit) shows improvements as follows:- CPU and Disk, no change, as expected.- Memory (RAM) 5.9 -> 7.5- Graphics 5.1 -> 6.5 (nice)- Gaming graphics 6.4 -> 6.5Pretty good for a not so expensive upgrade.5Works perfect, great upgrade!Kingston is a brand that works. I've left them laying around in my junk drawer and have put them back to use before. I expect zero problems with their chips. These happened to be available DIRT CHEAP and were the perfect upgrade for an older computer using newer things like digital cameras with bigger files and HD movies.5Great value! My T430 needed an extra boost so I purchased some more ram. Can't get much better than this for office workloads. T430 now runs smooth as butter and there are no compatibility issues. 5
