    Tempory fixIt worked ok but, the lettering on buttons are already wearing of in just a few weeks of use.The original one lasted many years of use.I guessing that it came from China it will not last a year.2Perfect Replacement for OEM. LOVE ITJust got this. Took me less than a minute to replace the old one. The rubber button overlay is slightly too small but with a tiny bit of gentle persuasion I was able to wrap the PCB properly. Fit perfectly into the plastic housing which snapped right together with no problems. By looking at the original and this product side by side, it appears that the replacement with the housing snappedtogether is approximately 1/8" larger in all aspects, however this could be because the original was so worn down that the matte finish had become a gloss finish meaning that age had sanded the exterior down making it smaller. Obviously the size difference is not an issue. I did run a test on all 4 buttons to ensure proper connections of button plates to PCB are good and they were.UPDATE: 2-12-18Paint on buttons doesn't seem to hold up. Delivered mid December 2017 and already this is happening. I might as well have painted new ones on the old fob and saved my money.1Overall the build quality is really good. the plastic is durable and seems strongOverall the build quality is really good. the plastic is durable and seems strong. however the symbols on the buttons seem to wear off faster than i would like. but my biggest complaint is the plastic is too low around the pop trunk button so sometimes when i press my lock/unlock the trunk randomly pops. which is quite annoying. nothing a dremel or file probably cant fix. but its better then the broken remote I had before.3LOOK FOR BROKEN SOLDER ON YOUR ORIGINAL BOARDS BATTERY CLIP!!Worked great for my sons 2002 Alero which is the same as the Grand Am. The biggest thing to look out for on these models is the battery hold down clip breaking loose from the circuit board. It's a fairly easy soldering job. I've soldered several and it's always gotten them working. That repair along with this new case and the fob is as good as new!!5Good replacement casePerfect fit and great replacement case. Just don't force it closed until you know the insides are in the right position and seated in the pegs.5Great purchase!!This fob is just as good if not better than the original! Do not be afraid to order this.5Good change over and works great now.works really well and better then the original. The old one from buick was not functioning right. Took the guts out and put it in this new case. Now the start is functioning right and no problem. The other was prob worn out.Don't know what others have run into. everyone has different things happen and have diff skill levels at doing things like this. For me it worked out very well. IF i need another i would order from the same seller again where it did work out.Always have to remember different manufacturers make things differently. As well as things can come off the lines wrong.5
