Locksmith had no issue with thses keys.Lock smith had not issue getting the keys programed into our 2006 Ridgeline. They work like the original key we lost!I understand from the locksmith most of this type of key can be programed to match the computer chip unless you have a Subaru. The Subaru company does not allow access to their computer to reprogram the key so the entire unit has to be sent back to the Subaru company, Otherwise, you just need to purchase the key blank for your year wehicle and let the locksmith or the dealer do the programing on the new keys.5Too much trouble for myselfGot this before I researched it. It might be great for some, but after learning that programming and key cutting can be so difficult for non-OEM ordered items... It just wasn't worth the time and effort for myself. My original problem was the casing cracked. I tried to swap the casings and electronics, but the key is not removable from the casing. So both attempts for this item was a failure for myself. 3 starts just because it looks well made and very comparable to original. Would probably work well for people who have time for it.3It is match for honda odyssey 2010 but you have to pay about $90 to locksmithThe Key it self is match with my honda odyssey 2010.But you still have to pay almost $90 to locksmith to cut the key and copy a transponder chip, even though I set up for FOB remote control by myself.Total money = 18(key) + 35 (cutting) + 45( chip copy) = 98+tax = $108Dealer price = $165 + taxIt is cheaper than dealershop, but not so much.5Cheaply Made!! Not worth the money!!I bought this key for a different reason. To replace parts on my original key. When taking it apart I noticed that this key is not worth the time if you need it to replace a key. The cover is cheap plastic. The chip is super glued to the transmitter cover. The transmitter board is poorly made. Just poor all around. If i didn't need the back cover and transmitter case right now I would send it back. As everyone knows OE can't be beat but at least if you are going to sale a replacement key make it worth buying.UPDATE 9/1/17: I have sent this item back due to it cracking around the screw area. I did not have much faith in this product to begin with but after the crack it proved what I suspected from the beginning. It is not worth the time or money!!1Nice idea, but a locksmith fee is still required. The instructions are adequate for the method to bond the wireless features (lock/unlock) to the van. BUT I still had to take the key to a locksmith for the fancy cutting required, and while I was there she told me that she would, for $35, program the "chip" in the key so that the van would actually start. So I took the fresh cut key out to the van, the unlock button worked, and the cuts worked and I could turn the engine over, but IT WOULD NOT START. Went back inside, she did her locksmith magic, and only then would the van actually start. Very annoying, and expensive in the long run.3Will still need a locksmith. It would have been nice to know about the transponder inside, $50 to cut this key and another $50 to program the transponder, the part where I programmed it to open the doors is thrown in for free by locksmith...3Not compatible with Honda Accord 2004 even if it was ...Not compatible with Honda Accord 2004 even if it was no one will program it or cut it for you, I tried every locksmith in the area.1Worth it but have a dealership program the rfid and cutIf you transfer the rfid from your old key they are an affordable option for replacement keys. My local hardware cut them for $40 a piece so yeah then to have them programmed it is another fee. If you buy them have them cut and programmed at the dealership at least my experience this time was cheaper to have the dealership cut them and it was a single fee for almost unlimited keys. I programmed the key to work with the doors just fine it's the rfid that is a separate programming step and without it the key will not start the car.5The panic did not work Overall I am satisfied with my $15 purchaseI bought this for my 2005 Accord. I only need its remote controlling unit. .I do not need the key nor the transponder. I followed the instruction to program the remote unit. It worked for the lock, unlock and trunk keys. The panic did not workOverall I am satisfied with my $15 purchase.. The dealer would charge me $60 + programming fee.4YESSS IT WORKEDMy key fob broke, I contacted the dealer they wanted way to much. So then I went to my favorite place Amazon found the key read a few reviews. Long story short new key $14.99 locksmith $35.00 and I gutted the old keys remote and sensor new key works like a charm.5
