Customer Reviews

A keyboarding help-mateThose of us who spend many hours every day at a computer appreciate comfort, especially when the comfort seems effortless. That's what the Kensington Wrist Pillow provides. It does its job without calling attention to itself. Besides wrist comfort -- for lefties and righties alike -- this wrist rest is wide-format, and that feature allows an user to place the keyboard and open mousing area so it's suitable. I like the mouse on the left, while others like it on the right. Either way, it works with ease. Another feature of this Kensington model is that it has several anti-skid circles (for lack of a better term) on the base, so the whole device stays put while in use on a desk or other such surface. It has no tendency to slide or jiggle away while you're using it. In all, the Kensington Wrist Pillow does its job and offers good value. 5The good and the bad of it.I liked the firmness of the platform. I liked that it was wide enough for large keyboard and mouse. I like the soft gel style of the padding. The height of the pad is actually a little too high for best ergonomics. Many newer keyboards being a low profile will make it difficult to reach the nearest row of keys. The best fit is a keyboard and pad that line up in vertical height. 3My wrists are sleeping with angels.I finally decided to order this wrist rest for my home computer, and wish I had done it sooner. I have been using this same product at work for the past two years (6-8 hours of typing, 5 days a week), and it's still in excellent condition. I like the platform for having my mouse and keyboard rest on it, instead of a freestanding wrist rest strip that slides all over the place and constantly has to be adjusted. The gel cushioning provides plenty of support as well as comfort. It's like angels are resting my wrists on little clouds of happy. 5Everything In One!!!!This is a fantastic pillow platform, because it's everything you'd want & should have when using the computer a lot. It's a platform for your keyboard & mouse and is a gel pillow for your wrists all across the bottom. Very comfortable and made me realize my wrists are now where they should be and have the support they need, to prevent wrist problems. As far as this person/seller goes, everything was perfect and I'd do business with them anytime. Thank you for the great price, communication and fantastic product. 5Does the trick!** 2015 update **Still working great, just a little discolored from use, couldn't be happier. Kudos to the manufacturer.** Original 2008 review **This works for both the mouse and the keyboard -- regardless if you are left- or right-handed -- and keeps them from unwanted sliding around. It will not leak like a gel wrist rest, and does not permanently "indent" if you absentmindedly lean on it with an elbow. In my opinion the cushion seemed a little too high for mousing, so I've inserted two old extra mousepads between the mouse and the platform. Otherwise, perfect! 5Please, find another product...First of all, the item you recieve isn't even the one in the photograph representing it! It is very different looking product, with the same dimensions, I guess. Kind of astonishing... The wrist rests are two big roundish, lumpish type things, and there isn't a separate mousing surface as implied in some other photos of this product, just a long piece of cheap particle board. Search the product number (K62820US) for a more accurate depiction.I'm glad it's worked for other people, but I don't find it comfortable at all...I don't get it. It isn't memory foam or "gel", it's just some relativly hard, and presumably cheap, foam. Someone else posted that the pads were too "high" or something. It's not that they are too high, they just don't compress under your wrist's weight. You have to actually push into the stuff to get it to move. It's better than the edge of a desk, I guess, but not by much. My wrist's still feel fatigued, and circulation feels restricted.I'm so disappointed in this product that I'm reluctant to try again... Maybe the best bet would be to build my own. How much would a strip of dense, comfy memory foam and a slice of particle board cost? Seems simple enough to me...Sigh...who designed this abomanation!? 1Nice TrayI have a horrible ergonomic set up at my job with no keyboard tray. I bought this to set on my lap, it works pretty good for this. There is enough room for a standard keyboard and mouse (with pad). It's pretty sturdy, so I do not have issues with it flexing on my lap. the wrist guard does get dirty and holds those little flakes of skin/dust/food; so I wipe it down with a clorax wipe every so often. 4Save your wristsThere are lots of wrist rests, plastic or foam pads, etc. out there to help support your wrists while typing at the keyboard. This model is far better than most. It consists of a hard surface on which to place the keyboard and your mouse pad. It is long enough to accommodate both keyboard and mouse area as a single unit. A soft pad then extends the full length of the entire unit. You could actually put the whole thing in your lap - keyboard and mouse - if you prefer to work that way. It does an excellent job of cushioning the wrists along the full width of keyboard and mouse. Best product made for this purpose. 5Love it!I seen a few reviews where people were unhappy with the back... mine was fine it was a thick press wood. This is exactly what I was looking for! I have a slide out keyboard tray and my mouse kept falling so this keeps it right where I need it 5Works like a champ.I purchased this after a wrist injury to help support my mouse hand (if you can picture that!). It fits perfectly in my keyboard drawer, with the mouse pad next to the keyboard. I was worried as to whether it would work after reading some reviews about the gap in the center. with a normal keyboard and mouse on the right setup, the gap is not an issue! It falls at the "insert, Home, Page up" and arrow keys are. During normal typing, I almost never use those keys, and when I do I would be lifting up my hand to reach them anyway. When using the number pad on the right side of the keyboard my wrist is on the other side of the gap. My only issue is with the base, while it is fairly strong and stiff, it is slippery. The bottom has foam pads that keep it from moving on the keyboard drawer, but I had to put some tape under my keyboard pads to keep it from sliding around. 5
