SO COMFORTABLE!This is my second pair of this particular style. I replaced the ones I had worn at work for years and years with the exact same style because COMFORT!! These headphones are the most comfortable pair I have ever owned. I don't need anything fancy just a pair that I can wear all day without getting a headache. I already knew they would last me a long time because the last pair was still working when I stepped on them and broke them. It was a sad moment. Thank goodness I was able to get an exact replacement at a great price. If my clumsy self breaks this pair, I'll buy them again.5Best Headphones I've Ever HadI love these headphones, I'm sure many self proclaimed audio experts would snob away from these but I think they're fantastic. I don't have the money to spend more than $20-$30 on headphones but I want something nice. I had a set of these for three and a half years before they began to die out. After conducting considerable reasearch when shopping for a replacement, I decided to go with these because I already knew they were great. They're comfortable, not heavy on the ears, they sound great, there's a lot of room to move around with the long cord which can be a drawback at times but I've been spoiled with long cord. I use headphones almost everyday and as far as I'm concerned these are fantastic, durable, and very affordable. I'm thankful JVC made such a nice product.5Comfortable OTE headphonesI was getting really annoyed at work with being able to hear my co-workers phone convos. These aren't exactly noise-canceling per se, but I didn't want to spend that much money for a nice pair of headphones. Just needed to be able to drown out my co-worker by putting on some headphones and cranking up some tunes. They work for that. I feel very old-school with these giant headphones but that;s why they are cool. I guess over the ear headphones are becoming popular again anyway so you'll just be staying ahead of the curve with these. Then when they go out of style, you'll still be cool because you do your own thing, you don't just follow trends willy-nilly.Bonus feature- they come with this like, extra-long cord compared to earbuds so you can put them on, drown out your o-workers, then walk across the room and do some filing. Awesome. Do THAT earbuds, I dare you.4Lots of performance for the priceFor a sub-$10 it is a very good headphone. The box has a claimed 8-20,000 Hz and my simple test is to run a tone generator (Audacity) and see if I could hear anything. A 15Hz it is not problem, at 10Hz it is clear, at 9Hz it is a little rough and at 8Hz it is very dirty. This is not a clean scientific test and maybe doing this tone generator test is not the right way, but I was pumping the sound wit the same computers that I would be using the headphones on and so this is a good indicator of performance for my needs. So...blah, blah, blah, how do they sound? Well, I would say that they sound good in most applications. Music from a good old CD play reveals that the response is very good, but not as good as my $40 set. My go to CD has very subtle sounds and a very hard to hear bell that starts off in a song. Only a hand full of ear buds and headphones can reveal this. A friend's $100 old high end set separates this sound out from the rest of the instruments well. The set of headphones gives some clarity and does put to shame a few $20+ phones, but still not as clean as a $40 Sony set I used to have.5Good for the money!I got these because my daughter ruined my expensive one and I was about to leave on a trip and wanted some heads phones to use with my kindle on the plane. I saw some reviews were people didn't really like them saying they weren't comfortable and pushed on their ears but I got them anyways because sometimes people are just really picky more because they are considered "cheap" because they didn't cost much. I received my headphones and was very delighted with them, they are comfortable and lightweight and the sound quality is so much better than my more expensive pair. I ended up giving them to my daughter though because her tablets sound quality is horrible and you can't hear anything with her headphones but with the JVC headphones it sounded great! I really would recommend this product to anyone looking for a good quality headphones for very little money.5Comfortable headphones for HOURS of use I'm a transcriptionist and spend my entire work shift with headphones on. I need something comfy that doesn't squeeze my head & give me headaches. THESE babies are great! They are wide-set enough to *not* squeeze my head too hard. They have slipped off when I tipped my head all the way forward or backward - but that's not something I normally do. They have a soft, cushy padding on them and a thin "leatherette" covering that doesn't make my ears *too* hot. ANY on-ear headphone is going to retain a little heat. They don't block outside sound entirely, but they do muffle it quite a bit. That's nice in my line of work. One of the coolest things about these -- which was a pleasant surprise to me -- is that they have a swivel point for the ear pads! That means they really conform to the shape of your head nicely. Face it, most headphones are made with some pretty weird angles that don't really approximate the shape of a human head whatsoever. THESE DO!The other "must have" part of these headphones is the in-line volume control. It's at a handy distance from the headphones themselves -- not too close and not too far down the line. They also come with an adapter plug which I call a 1/4-inch, but I think it's official measurement is slightly different. The headphone cable itself is capped with a 1/8-inch plug (again, possibly not the official measurement--maybe 3.5-mm??)... the standard for most headphone ports.I really like these headphones and think I might get another pair as a spare, "just in case"! 4They sound great. My volume of my computer went bad. (it wasn't that loud anymore) I didn't know what was happening. I thought it was the headphones that were going bad. So I ordered these headphones. The volume is still the same. Which means, it wasn't the headphones that were going bad, it was my computer. My brother fixed my computer problem that was happening. It was my speakers that weren't working right. Anyways, I gave my brother the new headphones for fixing my computer while I still have the other pair.5Great for $13 Overall, these are very good headphones for the price. The bass is not as impressive as claimed and mid-range is weak. The sound of these, when used with my TV for movie viewing is great--the sound is as good as being at the movies. And, I suspect for gaming they would more than suffice. The sound is truly great. But, when listening to music on my PC, you can definitely notice that music is not as full or rich. It sounds, depending on the type of music you are listening to, cheap at times. Some songs sound good and others you can definitely notice that parts of the song are not as rich or full as you would like them to be. The volume control is a great feature. The headphones are comfortable, but having a cord come out of both sides of the headphones instead of just one is often inconvenient and the cord is very flimsy. Very good phones for $13, but, if you want markedly better sound quality for listening to music, you should chek out the JVC HA-RX500's. They almost blow these away when it comes to listening to music and you can get them for $18-$20. 4Some of the finest budget headphones we've ever ownedWe found these on Home Depot's website (of all places) in 2017 when trying to find headphones with in line volume control. First chance it seemed reasonable, we got back up pairs for whenever these finally start to fail, but I don't expect that to happen anytime soon as these are really good quality. They're light, but don't feel cheap; they're comfortable, even without a padded head band; the sound quality is better than any at this price point and even higher. They're not for audiophiles and especially not "audiophiles", but you not going to get a better pair at this price. I gave our back up pairs as Xmas gifts to a couple who were looking for something for TV watching and immediately ordered new back ups in case they quit making them. I expect that they will stay in storage for years to come before being needed.5My favorite pair of headphones - ever!I'm a Professional DJ and I do not pay $100+ for any "DJ" or "Studio" headphones. I own reference headphones, but I don't need them to DJ with. I've owned this one and the all black version since 2010, I love them, super light, louder than most of the other headphones. I owned Sony and Sennheiser and this is louder than those too. I don't care if it's cheaper, it gets the job done and as long as you take care of them, they'll take care of you.If you have any questions - feel free to find me on Instagram or Facebook and ask away!@OFFICIALKRISH (Search @Officialkrish on both Instagram or Facebook)5I love these For the price, these are very good headphones. The cord is a good length, the sound is loud, and the sound is clear. Now, are they the best, probably not, but I would consider these before considering anything else within $50 of this price range. Mine worked great until I accidently bent the headphone jack by accidently running my chair into the computer while these were connected. I was so disappointed that I went to Amazon and purchased a new pair right away. I even looked for a better product, but none matched the quality at the price I was looking for.I would highly recommend this product. 5Good cheap full size headphone. I buy a lot of them.Cheap and the volume control gets to the point that you have to work it up and down to remove static but sound is good and ear pads last same amount of time that expensive sets do. For the cost of the replacement pads you can buy the whole headphone. If something happens to them, like your son runs over the cord with the vacuum, then replacing them isn't so painful. Bass is decent , mids ok, and highs a little muddy. But overall they are comfortable and sound is good enough for tv watching or listening to music. Just don't expect them to be audiophile premium, especially at this cost.4Audio quality is great, but cord is WAAAAY too long! First off, the good: These headphones are comfortable around my head and the audio is great on them. However, I'm not much of an audiophile, so just about any headphone set sounds great to me as long as it isn't static. The problem with this set is the cord is unbelievably long (about 10 feet)! For many people, that's a positive thing, however, I bought these headphones specifically to use to listen to music through my phone while I'm running on the treadmill, so it's a huge negative. I tried several ways to shorten them: wrapping the cord with a rubber band, taping the cord to my chest while I ran, even wrapping it around my neck loosely! No matter what I tried, the cord bounces all over my arms and chest while I run, getting tangled up and generally being a nuisance. These are the perfect regift gift for that not-so-special someone. 3Unsatisfactory, uncomfortable, too loose-fittingIn order not to disturb neighbors I use head phones to watch TV, movies, and listen to music. The sound quality of these is not bad. But they are an uncomfortable, loose-fitting contraption, always falling off your head if you look up or down. You can't adjust them to a tighter head fit. The ear pads are not attached in a fixed position to the headband so they dangle downward on a swivel when they're not on your ears. Every time you put the contraption on your head you have to adjust the ear pads, holding them with your hands in a straight up position before you can slip them over your ears. I find these ear phones are just too inconvenient and irritating, so I don't recommend them.(I thought I wanted a longer cord like these have so that I could walk around the room with them on. However, have found that a long cord gets in the way, is rather dangerous to trip over. Next ear phones I'll try to find a coiled cord and a volume adjustment button on each ear pad--features which I've found convenient on previous ear phones.)2
