Customer Reviews

Classy, minimalistic, stylish.I tend to pickup quite a few cases every year during the Samsung flagship phone releases and this year was no different. My wife now has a Galaxy S8 and I have a Glaxay S8+. Of the 6 cases she has for her orchid Galaxy S8, this Incipio Aira Glam case is the one she has on the most often. It really shows off the orchidish.. grey purply-ish phone since the majority of this hardcase is transparent. The flowers add a touch of style/elegance/fun that seems to jive with her personality. The case itself is a one-piece transparent semirigid slipon. The buttons are molded, but very tactile, accurate, and comfortable to use. I'm not certain of the drop height that this is rated for, but between you and me, my wife appears to be testing its drop height often -- because I usually hear it when it hits the hardwood or tile floors. The screen is protected from flat-smashes due to a raised lip...Its a bit of a fingerprint gatherer, but that's pretty much in line with every case made of the same material... It's grippy and semi-smooth and while she drops her phone often, it survives in this case. 5 stars because it made 'SheWhoMustBeObeyed' happy.5Pretty, minimalist case but no screen protector included. This Design Series Classic Case from Incipio is a pretty combination of art and protection for your phone.I was supposed to receive the Silver Prism case but instead, received the Fleur Rose case so that is what I will be reviewing. This is a clear, slim, minimalist case that adds almost no bulk to your phone. It is a one-piece case but it seems to be made of two different materials. The back is a fairly rigid clear plastic so your phone itself will show through a little. The sides are a more flexible, clear material that feels a little like silicone. The flexible sides make it easier to install and remove this case. Incipio says the case has a coating that resists normal scratches and it's true. I have one of these design series cases (for a different phone) and it has definitely held up well as fare as scratches. The cut outs are in the appropriate places and provide access to the various ports. Note: as another reviewer mentioned, the headset port opening is small so it only works with earbuds or headphones that do not have a collar around the plug.NOTE: This case is designed for the Galaxy S8. It will *not* fit the Galaxy S8+.Of course, the real reason to buy this case is the artwork. Mine has stylized pretty pink and white roses with green leaves and gold foil details in the center of the roses. It looks kind of hand painted to me. Very pretty but very feminine. Might not be the best choice for work depending upon your position and the company. My main complaint is that there is no screen protector included. I'm thinking that any minimalist phone case should include a screen protector because this case is not super protective. So if you get one of these cases, i definitely recommend buying and installing a screen protector.4Samsung caseGreat buy4Looks great but provides insufficient protectionI recently treated myself and bought what is touted as the most advanced, and most expensive, cell phone on the market today. I also bought the screen protector that Verizon offers which, contrary to the YouTube reviews you will see, didn t work well with the Galaxy s curved screen and ended up breaking when I squeezed the sides of the phone. This prompted me to start looking for other ways of protecting this expensive piece of electronics from the damage that comes from normal usage. I decided to try out a few cell phone cases to see which worked best.FYI: I requested and received the solid Deep Navy version of this case from the Amazon Vine program, not the 'Cool' Blossom edition so this review is based on that version and not the one pictured.Protection: 2 of 5 Some cases have raised lip on top and bottom for added protection. This does not, leaving the curved screen exposed. Also, the soft case doesn t fit the phone tightly. The one time I dropped my phone, the case slipped off the corner that hit the ground and the phone sustained damage.Feel: 5 of 5 The case feels great and is easy to maintain a grip on the phone. It also will not slide around when set on a hard surface like an airplane tray table.Style: 5 of 5 The case I ordered and received is not what is pictured. My case is a solid navy blue and its look is very appealing2Not an ideally designed S8 case - get the Spigen TCP case instead. These incipio cases have a couple of annoying issues. I received two from Vine, a clear and a matte finish (not the sparkle version).Comparing it to the Spigen TCP cases, the Spigen wins in nearly every regard, most notably price. They are very similar materials. But the Incipio has a large logo that is on the back of the case. It is very visible. The Spigen logo is on the side of the case at the bottom below the Bixby button. The Incipio has a slightly higher edge than the Spigen - so slight, but it is enough to make using the edge features of the S8 screen really annoying. Your finger is almost always hitting the case edge. The Spigen edges are slightly lower (maybe a millimeter) but it's enough to make it feel smoother when using those edge functions. The other annoyance is the headphone jack. The Incipio has a small opening, so those sport earbud types work well - but anything with a larger rubber edge on the headphone jack won't fit. You actually have to lift the bottom of the case off the phone to use these. This is annoying with my home sound system, which I plug in manually to play Spotify through the top of the line speakers. The Spigen case has a larger, oval shaped opening, so even headphone jacks with a larger rubber stopper base can work. My S6 case had the same issue as the Incipio and it annoyed me greatly - and I bought it from Verizon and it was a Verizon product (likely made for them by another company). So I promised myself not to fall into the same trap again!Bottom line: good case in theory, but why pay more when you can get a better designed case for half the price? No, I'm not some Spigen lover - I just like a phone case that works well for my phone.2Really beautifulNice slim fit and allows the phone not to rest on the camera lens area. Decoration looks great on phone. Really beautiful. Its wont have otter box protection ... but looks like it would absorb a drop on the ground.5Classy lookLoved it!5Cute Phone CaseThis is just as pictured and fits my phone great. The buttons aren't as easy to press as they were with my previous case, but that case fell apart. This case is holding up perfectly, and I love the look of it - not too over the top, but sparkly.5Classy protector for phoneThe protector is actually very durable and flexible. Although it is flexible it's not that soft so it offers protection to the phone. I've had this for some weeks already and of course my phone has dropped but the protector has kept it safe. I love the design of the protector because it is clear but has some flowers. Since my phone is black the flowers stick out alot. It makes my phone look classy and protected. I had a protector that was thick so it could give it protection all the way around and was nervous about this protector but it actually works the same. The protector allows me to enjoy my phone with less thickness. I am happy with my purchase I would definitely purchase again.5Do not use for the S8! Cracked screen on first dropI've used Incipio for all of my Samsungs...so I'm not sure if it's the design of the S8 or the design of this cover, but the protection for the curved screen is awful. My screen cracked the first time that I dropped it. That has not been the case with this model of Incipio with my S5, 6, and 7...i dropped those phones a gazillion times with no issue. I do not recommend this particular case with the s8. I'm switching to Otterbox.1
