Customer Reviews

Poorly made with apparently no warranty. This will be a quick review, as the light stopped working almost a month after purchase. While it worked, it was everything I was looking for in a key chain light--small, took a regular AAA battery, very bright, and had a simple on/off function (no strobe, moonlight, SOS or any other nonsense). However, as mentioned, I didn't even have this light for 3 months and it simply stopped working. My old Fenix E01, which this was meant to replace, looks like its been through a war and it functions perfectly over a year later. There is, apparently, no warranty support for this light, either. I visited the website and submitted two inquiries, and never heard back. Bottom line, save your money and go for a better-built light from a company that responds to it's customers.1Perfect little keyring flashlight with a very bold light!Perfect heavy duty little flashlight. Very bright for it's size. I love collecting flashlights and searched and read many reviews before selecting this flashlight. I got this for my daughter for Christmas. It totally solved her walking down a dark pathway from her car to the house. It's about the size of a key and it's made very sturdy. I highly recommend it!5Awesome quality of light... not so awesome quality of clip =/In most cases here, I wait until I get the email asking for my input on products I've purchased; not this time.I've carried a Streamlight Nano on my keys for the past year, and have encountered several irritations with it which led to its inevitable replacing.I wanted a good quality light that was compact and durable enough for every day carry, used normally obtained batteries (not 4 button cells that run between $3-$5 in stores!), has a decently powerful beam, didn't accidentally turn on in my pockets, and was ergonomic enough to operate with one hand. This Helotex K1 fit and surpassed the bill at a surprisingly economic price. I write 'surprisingly', because I'd expect a light of its caliber to be at least $5 more, but let's just keep that between us ;-)The only feature I wish it had (as with other lights in its class also...) was a push button tail cap switch, but I'm willing to overlook this for the features it has.Gripes? Yes, several. I found the included lanyard to be a bit too long for my personal preference. I'd much rather keep the light a bit closer to the keyring so it doesn't conflict/tangle in my pocket. The second and most noted... the spring clip broke after just the first week of use.Information Only - I just noticed the fine print that the AAA battery is included; IT IS NOT INCLUDED.4Great light--size weight and brilliance. I now have four and will buy more for gifts.I was in the market for a decent key chain light. Tried a few including Surefire Titan --great light but long heavy and too much going on. Came across the Helotex and figured I'd give it a try. Good move. Does not as someone suggested take a unique and expensive battery. Just a AAA which powers an incredibly bright light. Not as bright as the surefires but is actually a great size and weight for your keychain--won't bang up your dash. I ordered a second just in case they become hard to find. Excellent choice for a key chain light and it won't cost you 50.00 or so dollars from Surefire .UPDATE: Just accidentally ran through the washing machine. Figured it was toast. Pulled it out, turned it on and wow -- lit up the room. No apparent damage but will change the battery just to be on the safe side. Well worth the money. One reviewer whined about having to buy an odd sized battery -- it runs on a AAAYou can buy a large quantity for ten or twelve bucks at Costco.5Nice, light, light! One of my favorite keychain lights, this is very bright, keychain is pretty sturdy, and aluminum body is well made. Especially for the price, this is a nice thing to have on your keychain. It only has one level, which I like due to simplicity, you dont have to turn or press anything multiple times, just a quick turn of the head, (easy, even one handed), and its on.5I work night shift at a hospital and it's great for getting in and out of rooms without waking ...I work night shift at a hospital and it's great for getting in and out of rooms without waking up my patients by not turning on the rooms lights. I don't like that there is no button or click or switch or anything though to turn it on, only way to turn on is turning the top of it to the left, if you turn to much it will open and battery will fall out. But nontheless its great, small, and extremely bright for it's size!4I'm glad I didn't give up on it.I want to give it 4 and a half stars, as the glass in my first one broke in my pocket after a month with a loud POP! I now keep my new one away from my keys( I believe squatting down forced a key into the glass?). I have had my second one almost a year now and it has been GREAT. that much light in such a small package? I really like this little thing.5I Love It! This tiny flashlight is great! I got one for my wife and had the need to use it the other night. WOW! It really did the job, covering a wide area with passable light (enough to walk through without accident) AND illuminating strongly at a surprisingly good distance! For its size and price, this little Key Change Flashlight is a terrific buy! 5VERY NICE! & BRIGHTReally good, bright and small. For the size it is very bright, especially for one AAA cell. The size is small as I had wanted something not bulky for key ring or to attach to backpack. Most of the lights were like 3 plus inches and 3/4th inches in diameter. Not this one. Just 2-1/2 long and half inch wide.Cute, sturdy and good bright illumination. Seems well made.Steve5Single-Mode SuperstarIncredibly small, very bright (left my illuminance meter at the office, but at least competitive with all my AAA options), high-quality threads, super lightweight. I'm also part of the apparently small contingent that just wants a single mode light. If that's your preference, and you like a small pocketable light, can't imagine a much better option. Strong clip, too. Only critique is more of a preference issue I do not attach lights to my keychain, so wish there was no keychain hole that prevents tail-standing. Might grind that. Will update after more long term experience, but first impressions are obviously positive. Going to buy another for the vault in case they ever go out of stock.5So small my dad claimed it!UPDATE 1-5-16: My dad carried this every day on his keychain for about five months, when the light died in December. I tried new batteries, cleaned all the contacts, and tested continuity. It seems something inside the head/LED is not making a proper connection anymore. It didn't see any drops or smashing, but it was on his keychain with other keys and bouncing in his pocket from normal use. The light may be best suited for carry in a place where it doesn't get regularly bumped and jostled. For the price and the output of the light, I leave the four-star rating, as the light is very inexpensive, and I've had many other lights that cost more and promised more, and delivered much less. This is a really neat TINY light. I don't deal with anything smaller than AAA batteries (due to price and difficulty in obtaining them), and this is the smallest AAA battery out there that I have found. It's just a bit smaller than the Thrunite Ti3 in length, while about the same diamater in both the body and head. It is also simple, in that it has one mode: high. The beam is pretty focused, so it may not be good for lighting up a large area with light (flood type light) and is more of an inspection light or spotlight at distance, which is impressive for a light this tiny. I didn't get a chance to test it much more than this, because as soon as my dad got his hands on it, he clipped it to his keychain with the nifty keychain clip, and claimed it for his EDC keychain light. He will definitely let me know if there are any updates on the plus or the negative sides.4
