I did alittle surgical procedure and sacrificed a light to make a longer cord for between the 2. I would have given it 5 stars if the cords were a bit longer.. but ill be ordering more in the future. 4For the price, it's a GOOD deal! This Puck Lights Kit has a Great concept that the three (3) lights can be disconnected from the power link in order to be installed and possibly replaced if need be. The "chrome look" is not metal. It is a plastic mold that has been painted to look as metal. It has a Low, Off, High switch, and depending on installation and outlet placement (from previous Puck Lights) can be challenging if it's to be inside a cabinet and an actual outlet location. The three (3) lights have the same length of electric cord, in placement of linear mode, it's ideal, BUT if the placement is ie. in a corner cabinet type setting is where the challenge comes in again depending on the location of outlet. I have given it a five (5) Star rating because for the price, it is a GOOD deal! They are the primary light source for my campervan. I had some other puck surface mount 90cri, 12v lights but they flickered. These function much better. I wish the fit and finish were higher quality on these though. 4Great product - Great price I needed to light my cabinets to accent our glass collections. The GetLight did the trick. It had 3 lights, which was exactly what I needed. I could have used one or two, but all three were just the right number. The dimmer is great but wasn't really needed. It is digital and resets if power is terminated to the lighting system. All in all this was a great purchase - easy to install, cost effective, and it did the job. Customer service was great. Had one question and it was answered quickly and effectively. 5More than a great deal. Excellent light kit. I installed them in a two section curio cabinet using two in the top section and one in the lower unit. They gave the cabinet a great look and were very easy to install. I was concerned with the quality because of their low price, but I have to say I am impressed. Thank you so much Inlight. 5Nice little pucks; remove the dimmer to use with a timer. These little puck lights look nice and work great. They give off the perfect amount of light for my needs - I mounted them inside a China cabinet. Two light up the cabinet and one is on top, as an "up light". I like the multiple ways they can be installed, and the dimmer was a POTENTIAL plus.The only negative is that the dimmer can't be used with a timer, which was my need. That is, each time power is restored to the lights - either through a timer, or just plugging it in - you must press the paper-on button on the dimmer control. For most people, this may not be a problem, though.If you DO want to use a timer, there's a solution. Fortunately, the dimmer is a separate piece. I removed it, then plugged everything back together, and voila! Works like a charm, just without a dimmer. 4Great light. Wish it came in metal. I liked the ease at which I could install after boring holes into some floating shelves I made. I also installed them above and below my cabinets with the puck configuration.I cut and spliced all the wires into a parallel lighting arrangement with a 24v driver. I then installed every 15" on the cabinets and 12" on the shelves. Note that LEDs need to be run in parallel not series.Biggest downside is they are plastic. 4Meh Pros:- Good light and color rendition- Easy to installCons:- I knew they were made of plastic but this one is particularly cheap- Hate the side wire notches for surface mounting: you cannot hide them if you're not using them- The 12V transformer that came with them was DOA. Had to use another one I had in the garageOverall they work and I'll keep them but won't buy again nor recommend them 2Simple to install and work with a switched power outlet. These lights replaced a set of halogen lights because it s power supply failed. While the on/off and dimming fiction is nice I am so glad you can just unplug that piece if it is not needed. In my situation the lights are plugged into a switched outlet above a built-in bookcase. By simply unplugging the dimming piece I am able to control the light from my switch. The other great thing is the lights create no interference with my shortwave receivers (amateur radio) whereas the halogen lights are terrible and have to be turned off whenever I am listening on amateur radio. {Update Nov. 8, 2018: It seems I now have RFI from these lights. I don't know if something has changed or if I originally tested them at night when my ambient noise on 80 meters is high, around S7. Today I noticed the noise with the lights on is S5 on 40 meters and drops at least one S unit when I turn the lights off. So no longer recommended.] The size was such that I could not screw in the bases because the original hole was a tiny bit too large. I was however able to glue them in with a little contact cement. I am totally satisfied! 3Perfect Replacement for halogen pucks I'm a professional electrician, and here's my take...I bought this set of puck lights to replace some 20 watt halogen pucks in a Butler's pantry.The 3000k is a perfect match to the halogen, and the 2 watt LED is a great replacement for 20 watt halogen.These products are the exact same size as the ones I removed, so the hole was a perfect fit.I like the Plug and Play feature, which means there are Factory connectors on all the wires and a bridge to plug them all into. No connections to have to make with wire nuts or crimpers or anything like that. The Transformer plugs into a receptacle, which in my case was located right above the cabinet.This is a set of 3, but I only had two pucks cut into the inside of cabinet. So the third one I chose to put on top of the cabinet and face it up. I think it was a very nice effect.Now the downside... This set comes with a dimming module in line between the Transformer and the bridge. That dimming function is great. Works very smoothly. However, there is a wall switch which turns that receptacle on and off. When that wall switch is turned off and back on, the dimming module is defaulted to the off position.In other words, every time I turn the wall switch off and back on, I would have to get on the ladder to turn the lights back on at the dimming module. So in my scenario, the dimming module was worthlessThe supply Transformer will not work with a wall dimmer, so these are on full brightness all the time. That's okay in this installation, but some people will probably want the dimming function readily accessible.I would imagine if you wanted wall dimmer, you could get a dimming Transformer and install it with no problemIf that dimming module were to retain its on position and dim setting, this would have a 5-star rating from me. 4
