Very stubby poles The extendable antenna are only 16" long (not the 3 feet I was expecting). Not a problem in my area (close to the transmitter), but may be an issue for rural users. 3I Can Watch Live TV Again! I was using a more expensive antenna but was constantly frustrated with live tv, getting "no signal" and stuttering. I remembered that I had been using simple rabbit ears for years with no problem, so I bought these and the reception is great! I noticed that when I inserted the pin in the spot for the antenna, it went in much farther than the more expensive antenna I had been having problems with. My tv is 10 years old, so perhaps that's the problem. 5better than the 60.00 ones we decided 2 years ago that cable is not worth the cost, don't know what took us so long to decide....but it was a great move on our part...and of course we thought the more expensive antenna would do the best job , wrong again. most people think today's smart tv's only work with cable, but they work very good with rabbit ears, or even just a paper clip placed at the antenna port will get you channels....anyway this 7.00 antenna gets us 84 channels in the city....at our cabin in the woods 40 miles away from any small country town (not city) we get 6 major channels, and thats way better than zero channels...love it , i bought 2 more. 5Nice & Compact Works Great! These have short antennas-@2 feet, so it's nice & Compact...It doesn't fall over like the same kind w/4 feet antennas. WORKS JUST AS GOOD AS A More EXPENSIVE TV Antenna..I GET TONS OF CHANNELS...I'm gonna get another one. 5Beware photo shows 5 segments per ear, only had 3! Disappointed as Memphis stations channel 5 reverted back from UHF to old VHF. Before I purchased this for my father., The zoomed in on the photo that clearly shows this antenna has 5 segments and should allow this antenna to extend to a length that would help with the lower frequency/longer wavelength.The antenna sent only has 3 segments. It was able to tune the networks, but some channel are not tuned compared to my in-attic 4-bay Channel Master. Hisloction chas better reception than mine which is in old growth urban forest & in shadow of tall building. Proper length would help pixelation. Fortunately he can get reception of the most watchable channels, so 3 stars minus 2 for deceptive photos showing 5 segments per ear but only sending 3 so not as comparable for old VHF wavelengths. 3Buy 46 of these, you won t regret it!!! (Except 45 of them). This thing is amazing! In the Wichita area I get 30+ channels in 480i which is actually really clear. Cannot believe I have been paying a cable company 100+ bucks a month for 100 channels I didn t even watch. This paired with Hulu/Netflix is all you will ever need. I cannot say how it will do in rural areas but if you live in city limits, this is a great alternative to cable. 5Don't judge this until you actually use it When I first took this out of the box, I was a bit disappointed about its size, saying to myself how would this little antenna perform? I attached it to my HDTV and did a scan. 66 channels were found. The majority of them look perfect, with only a few of them suffering from pixelization. Rotating the antenna just a tad took care of that issue. This antenna performs well for its small size, but please keep in mind I'm in line of sight to the world trade center and Empire state buildings. Your mileage will vary depending upon your location and distance from the TV transmitters. For the price, its a keeper! 5Great antenna. Expensive is not always better. We replaced our $30 flat antenna with these $10 rabbit ears and they work just as good. Plus it s not an eyesore on our wall. This antenna could pick up 37 channels- ABC, NBC, PBS, CBS, FOX, CW some Spanish like Univision and telemundo some independents, and some old tv/sitcom channels like me tv, this tv, escape, grit tv, Cozi tv. Pretty happy with the results. However it does need Adjusting at times when it s windy or heavy rain but this is completely normal for all antennas. Picture is great but this is not because of the antenna. It depends what picture the stations are giving off as there is no such thing as an hd antenna. Remember as they say location location location. If your 30 miles or less from broadcast source you ll probably get good results with this antenna. However 40 miles or more you might need and amplifier or outdoor antenna. Very happy now we can watch shows on prime video and use this antenna for live tv. 5Recommend this antenna I had doubts about this antenna because the rabbit ears don't pull out far. However, it is much better than the one I had before and I recommend it. I am even getting a channel I never got with my last indoor antennae. 4Who needs Cable? This attena is the bomb! So I just cut the cord for my cable use. I was skeptical at first because I've ALWAYS had cable. This antenna was easy to hook up and I am getting ALL my local channels and many more than I had WITH cable! Aint that some shiggity!!! I wish I'd done this a lot sooner. I do have fire stick, but I work 8 hours a day and when home watch mostly news and sometimes a fav show here and there. I am not able to get OWN but hey! I COULD really just have this attenna and get everything Im watchin for freeeeeeee. ... Im good with that. But, i KEEP my fire stick just for some variety. Get you an antenna and see for yourself... its sooooo worth it. ! 5
