AWESOME MICROPHONEThis little mic is awesome.I repeat AWESOME. I needed a small mic for my DJI Osmo. When I got it I didn't realize how small it was .But the size is near perfect. Then the performance.I was actually blown away with the power and precision of this microphone.Very very clear low noise and powerful for its size.I tried it with my Song VG10 camcorder and it produced a beautiful sound. You can't lose with this one.The price and performance. It's refreshing to find a company giving what people really want.BUY IT.This is an update to my original review.Mic has problems with very loud sounds you must watch your gain controls other than that...Wonderful mic.5Great sound, but too hot for Panasonic G9 or Sony FDRx3000Great sound but too hot for Panasonic G9 or Sony FDRx3000. In my opinion this mic sounds better than the more expensive ETM-003, but the output is too hot for the mentioned cameras. I also love the omni directionality. It just about worked ok on the G85 with the preamp turned all the way down. I tried useing attenuators, but I guess they do not work will with the camera supplied "Plug-in Power". AkA low phantom power. The mic will work, but as soon as you have any louder audio the clipping is horrific. The main issue is that the G9 and the FDRx3000 both have crazy high pre-amps. I can just about use the lower output directional ETM-003, but its really only tuned to conversational audio (sounds ok, but a bit thin). Dang it.3Supremely disappointed. These are pure junk.I have purchased 2 Edutige mics in the last couple years. Barely used them at all and both have failed with fewer than 5 uses each. One fell apart entirely and the other just quit for no reason. I use a lot of audio gear and have a pro audio background. These are among the worst products I've ever seen. Please invest in something of better quality.1Amazing mic!!!I cant believe how much better the audio quality is on this thing, my go pro hero 3+ silver audio sounds good or so i thought, until i plugged this in, the audio sounds amazing with this tiny little mic, it picks up audio from allot farther away and it sounds amazing, i honestly cant imagine recording anything with my go pro without this plugged in, i make allot of videos and most of the time in high noise environments, the go pros mic drowns out our voices when theres so many noises around us, this mic picks up all the audio just as i heard it, also i dont have to worry about how far the subject is from the camera, it picks up volume from a good distance, its nice not worrying about the audio, now i just gotta buy a wind screen and ill be set. also there is a way to rig your phone up to use the mic which is great cause phone mics almost always suck...5Works on Sony, Fuji, and CanonAnd I'm not sure why it wouldn't on Panasonic. Yes I have GAS and I have tried it all the systems mentioned above. Specifically I've tried it with the X-T30, A6600 and the Canon RP. A few things prevent this from being 5 stars.1. I'm not sure why this wouldn't be designed to be a 90 degree mic to begin with. All camera mics are on the side of the camera so why is it facing straight out? You pretty much have to purchase a 90 degree adapter. They are about 7 bucks here on amazon. On your favorite bidding site they have them for around 1 dollar.2. It runs hot! This thing will peak on all your default audio levels. When using this be sure to adjust your mic levels on your camera. On my Sony they are all the way down from anywhere between 1-3. Without the mic I'm up at 23 (internal mic). With my Canon and Fuji I also have the adjust the levels a lot.3. It's omnidirectional meaning it picks up all ambient sound. If you are recording in home and you have a fan on or the AC turns on make sure you turn all that stuff off before you start recording; it'll pick it up. That's the reason why this mic is great in a quiet room without ambient sounds.Overall the sound quality is crystal clear. As mentioned above it does run hot so make sure to drop all your mic levels low and you'll be okay. The omnidirectional aspect is a bummer. If recording outside I'm sure you'll get passing cars, trains, birds, and everything else. For this price and compact size this things is impossible to beat. I'm so glad I got it. There is not a cameras on board recording that works better than this. It may not be the best but it'll definitely beat your cameras on board system.4If you want usable audio with your GoPro, you need this mic!I can't stress how good this mic sounds for the price. I'm using it with a GoPro hero 6 on a gimbal and it has made a world of a difference. I would highly recommend this mic to anyone looking to get a higher quality sound from any camera.5signal too hot for my A7iiiI bought this to try and use with my A7iii but the signal is too hot even with the mic input volume set to 1.It is fine if you talk at a normal volume from about 2ft away indoors. if you get any closer/louder it will distort the sound. if you are outside the ambient noise plus what ever you are trying to record is definitely going to clip every now and then.the quality of the audio however is very good if it you can keep it from clipping.Sony cameras tend to have a better mic preamp so this will probably not work without some type of attenuations, but with Canon cameras or Gopros it should work just fine.I am keeping this item for now and will use it with my gopro hero 7.Saramonic SR-XM1 is going to stay on my A7iii for now until i find a better alternative.3I Absolutely Love This Microphone And Can't Speak Highly Enough About It.I only recently heard of the Edutige line of microphones and I decided to give this one a try because it is so inexpensive I thought "Hey why not" and I am so glad I did. This thing sounds awesome. It is a great vLogging mic with lots of gain and a warm bassy sound to it. I use it often with my GoPro Hero 7 because the GoPro has pretty weak preamps and with this mic you get really nice clean loud but not too loud audio. The mic comes with a foam wind puff which works well but if you are going to be outside in windy conditions I recommend getting a furry wind screen. This little mic is a part of my daily camera kit and stays with me all the time. I can quickly plug it into my Sony or my GoPro and know that I will get great sounding audio without the fuss of larger more complicated microphones. Also as an added bonus for vLoggers because it is so small its very discrete and doesn't attract attention. Again I love this microphone.5Problematic on Sony CamerasI had high hopes for this product after watching and listening to many youtube reviews. From what I've seen the audio quality of this microphone is actually better than Edutige's more expensive ETM-008 option. Unfortunately on Sony cameras, both the RX100VII and my A7R3 with the input sensitivity turned down to it's lowest setting of "1" the output from this is just too hot and results in awful distortion. I've attached a photo of me simply talking about 2" away from the mic at a moderate level and you can see it's already pinning the audio level meters, for music and concerts which was my intended purpose forget it, no way will this work. I guess for a less sensitive input this would be a good thing but on Sony it's not going to work. I've also had the same issue with the Movo miniature microphone and my Audio Technical AT8022 (a $400 professional microphone) on Sony cameras, my solution was to add an inline attenuator which worked fine but adds to the amount of gear which wasn't an option on my RX100VII since the whole point was being compact and attached to the camera. Hope this review saves someone before buying for Sony.3Surprising Sound QualityTiny microphone, great sound! I was really surprised at the quality of sound on this little mic, which was only surpassed by the great price. Outdoors, I use it with the BCP Furry Outdoor Microphone Windscreen Muff for Most Small Microphones, which gives better-than-expected results. I would easily compare it to the larger "name" mics in terms of sound quality. While it won't replace a full-sized shotgun mic, the quality may surprise you. Recommended.5
