Customer Reviews

Versatile, small, good quality! This tool is great! It fits right in our mountain backpacks but would also easily fit in a pocket or on a lift tag clip or anywhere. It's come in handy more than once when our ancient bindings have come loose/broken while we're on the backside of a mountain somewhere. It has bits that will fit most binding screws and feels like a quality tool.5Small tool for quick tightening work on your snowboard. Not an everyday/full size tool. For what it is, a great small tool to keep if your pocket while snowboarding. A little level setting here - it's a small tool, its meant to be small. You shouldn't be using this for any sort of real "work". That being said it is a perfectly cromulent solution to tighten a loose screw on a binding strap or another part of a snowboard until you can get down and get a full-size tool. The reason I give this 5 stars is that it is so small, and I'm not worried about falling and injuring myself by falling on it.5Tiny - fits nicely in a pocket.I needed a small binding tool that would fit in my pocket without bruising me if I fell on it (which is what happened with the other type of Dakine tool that is like a tiny round screwdriver). This is ~ 2.5" by 1"...very small and flat. It's tiny but does the job. Always keep a tool on you when you're riding...it really sucks to have a binding come loose on the mountain. I ended up buying one of these for my boyfriend too.5Good emergency tool to carryGot this as a stocking stuffer for my boyfriend to use on the mountain when snowboarding. He says it s a great size to carry while boarding and all the tools are together so he won t have to dig through his pack to find what he needs. There is only one color choice but liked the bright color so it will be easier to see in the snow. He hasn t tried it yet but in an emergency I m sure he will be glad to have it.4I really like the small size and light weight to help ease ... I haven't use this tool just yet since the snow has come and gone but from simply inspecting it, it appears to be finely crafted and made from quality materials. I really like the small size and light weight to help ease the burden of carrying a pack all day long while I'm on the mountain. The real test is actually using it during harsh conditions...then I might have a different opinion. Until then, it'll retain it's 5-stars. 5Lightweight tool that is mostly usefulHaving a small tool in my pocket to adjust on the fly is great. The weight and size are quite nice. However, if I need to adjust my bindings (currently, Union), the hex head is worthless as it is too small. I have this to fix base plate issues. Binding issues...find another tool.2I imagine it works better for snowboard bindings than skis It's got all the attachments! I imagine it works better for snowboard bindings than skis. you just can't get much torque with the little handle. I got the job done but I would prefer one with a larger handle. If having it in your pocket is a must, this fits the bill. If it's to keep in the boot bag I'd go with something different. 3Don't buy!Not even sure this is actually a Dankine product- for $11 go to harware store and buy a small tool. First this thing has no ability to put any amount of torque on a screw, it's to small. Second lacks a sold base or length. Sadly I got taken but read and heed!1Good idea, wish it worked betterThe idea is nice but i wish there was a way to lock out the tolls. I was trying to fix my bindings and it kept pivotiing, making the use difficult while on the mountain.3Goes anywhere, but not stable enoughIt's small, and cute, I'll give it that. But it's got no torque as the screw bits are not stabilized against the 'handle' and if something is screwed in tight, this won't be able to unscrew it. Which also means you won't be able to tighten anything hard, but I think that is a lesser problem than being unable to uncrew something at all, won't even move it. E.g. I tried to unscrew my license plate and the bits kept moving from the green handle when I tried to generate any sort of torque, and I had to finally get a standard, stable one piece screwdriver.3USELESS...IMHO, this is way overpriced... but it's compact, maybe 2" x 3" or less. I carry it in my side pocket on my leg just in case I need to make urgent adjustments or tighTening the snowboard bindings.**UPDATE: I lowered the rating to 1 star because the pz3 bit is not a standard bit for any snowboard binding screws (ph3) and this tool is useless when I needed it the most to tighten the loose screws on the way down the mountain in Canada.I contacted Dakine and no response received.1UselessYes, it's very small, but so is a chicklet and a postage stamp and works about as good as those would. You get no leverage and the screwdriver keeps collapsing on itself, making it pretty much unusable.Waste of money.1
