1.88" x 60 yards, 14-day Clean Removal, Medium Adhesion, UV Resistant, opaque blue Painter's TapeDon't believe the hysterical, negative comments that say that this tape doesn't stick at all. These hysterical people are either trying to sell more Scotch brand masking tapes, which tend to sell at a slightly higher price than DUCK brand, or they simply didn't read the instructions about what this tape is for.I would estimate that this DUCK Painter's Tape has about 70% of the adhesive strength of the cheapest, ivory-colored masking tapes. In exchange for this loss of adhesive strength, we get a longer shelf life, both on the roll and after it is applied. Also, it's a little easier to remove. The opaque dark blue color can be a disadvantage if you are using this tape to pick up dust, hair, dead insects, or other debris from the floor, carpet, table, or bed. The ivory-colored masking tapes are better for that purpose because the opaque dark blue color will tend to conceal whatever you picked up. 5Worked great!I purchased 2 packs in preparation to paint a large living room. It worked great and was easy to apply. Try to use 1long strip of tape for each part of the wall. It allows for easy removal. After each second coat of paint, remove the tape right away. It came off easily with little tearing. Each roll of tape can definitely do a room. As you can probably tell in the pictures, I did to repaint the accent wall. After taping and painting the ceiling, 3 walls, and an accent wall (x2), I have used up almost 3 rolls of tape. Very pleased. 5Works as it shouldThis has the right amount of grip (less than regular masking tape which pulls paint off your wall) and paint does not go through it. I've used lots of it on all kinds of painting jobs and it always works perfectly. Easy to put on and very easy to remove without taking anything off your walls or other surfaces when removing. Great quality 5Works great to cover areas that need to be protected: light switches, light fixtures, baseboards, etc. When I pulled the first few pieces off, I was not impressed with how sticky if felt. However, after applying large strips to the wall, I was surprised as to how sticky it was when I went to remove it. I am not using it to block out paint lines, I am using it more it keep the drips from the wall off of the baseboards. (I use a brush to cut in the paint line when the two different colors actually meet.)My husband and I have been painting our 2000 sq/ft upstairs (took us 3 years because we also had to remove wall paper and add texture) and have used a lot of paint and a lot of tape. I don't honestly know if it was this brand or a different brand, but one of them left a slight blue hue on our light tan walls that I then had to repaint over. If not leaving on for long periods of time, I will be buying this again, because the price was less than some of the other name-brand stuff that I purchased. But I wouldn't leave it for longer than 3 days, just because I'm not sure if it left behind the blue residue. 4Hands Down the best painter's tape!We renovated a home and painted EVERYTHING, ceiling, trim, and walls. We had only one instance of this tape pulling paint off the wall and that was where we had patched a hole and painted it the day prior. The spackle we used did not cure completely before we painted, so I do not blame the tape. Otherwise, we were able to use this tape immediately on freshly dried paint without any issues. This was very important given that we were painting walls and ceilings. The tape did excellent at the line between ceiling and wall and consistently gave a clean line when pulled off. While the tape did pull a few pieces of popcorn off the ceiling, that is to be expected with any painter's tape.Taping is your friend. Taping properly - affixing the tape in straight lines and pressing it firmly down prior to painting) - provides crisp clean lines that look soooo much better than freehand painting. Yes it takes some time, and when painting an entire room, it may feel as though taping takes longer than painting. But with this tape, you will not have bleeding paint under the tape and it will look as though you paid a professional to do the work. 5Worst Painter's Tape Ever!I spent more time fixing the paint bleed-through and picking out tape that would not peel off then I did putting the damn tape on and painting. I suggest you buy 3M/Scotch. Works much better. Thought I'd give it a try because of price. What a mistake. I used Scotch Blue for the rest of the room I remodeled and had much better results. 1Do not purchase. This tape is terrible. I've purchased I'll different brands of painters tape throughout my life and they've been relatively equal. Not this stuff - I used it to paint our bathroom trim and it bled all over the walls and our hardwood floor! I'll need to repaint the entire bathroom and spend 2 hrs trying to salavage the floor. I read the reviews before I purchased and figured the negative reviews were just a coincidence but no. I will never purchase this brand again and unless you want to paint twice recommend you don't buy it either. 1good value, long lasting tact, but tears a bit too easilyused about 5 rolls so far (2 orders)pros:- sticks well to all surfaces I've tried (drywall, steel, plastic, wood) except super dusty surfaces.- long lasting: stays sticky for months after taping a surface (hasn't lost tact so far)- pretty clean edge (when masking latex paint)- good bang-for-the-buck (price vs quality)cons:- tears easily when removing. perhaps too sticky, the tape frequently tears when removing. The best way I've found to reduce tears is to pull up the edge opposite to the painted edge, however still too frequently requires me to go back with a utility knife to scrape off little bits of tape remaining. 4This tape is also good if you need to leave behind secret messages around ...Its tape, its blue, and most importantly it releases from surfaces without leaving behind and glue. This tape is also good if you need to leave behind secret messages around the house, in the car, or at the office, you just need a pen. Its not my business as to why you're buying this tape to leave secret messages. It really isn't. I once came across one of these secret messages on a bagged sandwich in my office fridge. It said "Dan". I may never know what that message means, but clearly it wasn't a message for me.The duck flies at midnight. 5You need a staple gun to get this tape to stick to anythingThe other reviewers are not lying - this tape could almost be used as a non-stick coating on a frying pan. It doesn't stick to anything. It's the most useless excuse for tape I've used in my entire life.I had to use this stuff for caulking my counters - it wouldn't stick to the countertops at all, it fell off of the wood backsplash after mere seconds; it barely even works on glass. I literally had to use gaffers tape to tape this stuff down every 10 inches just so that I could finish my caulk line.I have no idea what I'm going to do with the other 5 rolls of this rubbish. Utter waste of money. 1
