Sturdy outdoor cord.This is a very sturdy cord,Im using it for my pond pumps...my last cord started to spark and melt at the end.Dangerous!!!! This appears to be far more suitable for outdoor use, good purchase.5Very satisfied Nice cord. Very useful for work projects when you need a couple of saws going and drill. Nice quality. To reduce the risk of pressure damage from people walking on the gravel, I sliced an old hose, split it around the cord, and then sealed the split with silicone caulk and some strategically placed velcro wraps. The result is probably not water tight, but I don't think it needs to be.The cord will remain outdoors and buried under the gravel indefinitely, even though I plan to put the fountain in the garage for winters. The only consequences of its failure, I believe, would be tripping a ground-fault interrupt on or a separate circuit breaker for the outlet.I don't expect that to happen, but it all depends on how well the cord is made to withstand both freezing and hot weather while entirely shielded from direct sun, rain and wind. So note the date of this review and the date when you read it. If it's still five stars, the cord has lasted that long. It replaced an older outdoor three outlet power stake. The spike / stake itself was beginning to fail. I wanted to use a multiple outlet power extension cord that was not necessarily on a stake. The Iron Forge three plug "fan" design allows the outlets to be flush with the ground and easier to mask / hide due to its lower "profile".We just set up our Christmas lights using a 10' and 25' Iron Forge outdoor power extension cords. I can say that the build / construction of these power extension cords seems to be of quality. They "feel" rugged. I can't comment on durability and reliability since the power cords have not been used extensively. Only time will tell. My only concern is how they will hold up / perform when they are covered with snow. Not all the prongs I am using have the third grounding prong, so that is open on the Iron Forge outlet.
